Umm... Wasn't the ideal situation there.. You had a test harness, from a test motor, that was full of aluminum shavings.. I heard "that'll buff out" more than once that day ;)

If I would have been able to wire it, then it would have been fine :p

LBZ heads are all that I'm after.. Just for the LBZ injectors and the ability to run the LBZ computer. Much more better, no FICM, no fuel pressure limits at the supply etc..

Sweet!! Coulda given us a puff or something though.

nice. now how bout a long smokey burnout...... just for shits and grins.... :D

I am working on it!;)

I did get my IC tubes back from the welder (my dad) till today after work. I got them on and worked till now on my tuning. I will say this and say it LOAD big injectors do not like timing at part throttle. I got it much better but I still have more to do. One really interesting thing I found. When I bring it up slowy to 4000 rpm and hold it for just a couple seconds I have no trouble building 15psig of boost.:) I all so got some noisy rocker arms to adjust along with retorque the heads. I did finish up the install on of my new traction bars.

Well Bad News!

I took the truck to a brush pull. It did not go well. The sled was set with the spikes down. I hooked and brought the RPM up and away we went. Well not really. The spikes dug in and I did a 4WD burn out on dirt. They fixed the sled and I got to try again. Started to bring the RPMs up but it did not sound right. I let off and had them unhook me so I could drive it back to the trailer. It was knocking and it was getting worse. I was thinking at first it was a piston but no blow by for the the oil fill tube or breathers. Oil looks fine and it has 40psi of pressure at idle even warm. But I admit it sounds like a rod knock. The fact I have oil pressure makes me think it is not a rod knock. I triple checked all my clearences at assembly and all where good. I am having a hard time beleiving it is a rod. My wild guess is I broke the crank. But until I get it out and apart who nows. I have no oil leaks and no visbile holes in the block. My passenger side head gasket was seeping a little. But I have seen far worse.

Bum day for me. Oh well. See what I broke and try again. :)

Edit I have video of the hook. I am not sure if I will post it. What ever I hurt I will take pics of and post.
