LLY: Is my Water Pump gone?

Hard to tell from these pictures but i lost about an inch or so of coolant and now this morning i look under the truck to see this?

hope thats all it is, mine is leaking from that exact same spot, not quite that bad yet. i am not looking forward to replacing it.

mine has done that twice now over a year or so and goes away for mounths :confused: , so i am just going to fix it once it does it frequently .

How much hp did you pick up with your modded pump? You went from 107 to 113? R u running 4.10s? THats wack your waterpump is weeping

I went from 108 to 113.9 and there is still more mph left I had lots of problems with the 60's I'd say I gained over 100hp

wow I must drive more than most people. My truck is a 2005 and I have 107,000 miles on it..

FWIW I just replaced my water pump too, it was the factory original though.

Lots of guys gone through on the llys Mine has been good for a long time 100 000.....Knock on wood

I wouldnt frett about changing it, its a couple hour job:)

Yeah, w/p is probably bad, although if I were paint, Id check that bypass hose above the balancer first.

w/p replacement isnt too bad a job. Hell, if Ben can do one without breaking anything, anyone can do it! :rofl:

Good point.....I had to change that on the side of the highway and it wasnt fun.

I had the same problem with my 01 but it was not the water pump. yours might be different, since its newer. the line that comes from above the water pump had an O-ring that was trashed, causing it to leak.
