Mike I can put you in touch with our sales guy:hug: IIRC this one was just shy of 4 million delivered and assembled:thumb: Of course you could save some money as it wouldn't have to ship all the way to Alaska;)

Is there a reason instead of using jackstands, that you haven't made stands that bolt onto the rear housing....? Be quite a bit safer, plus they aren't in the way if you drop the pan while its sitting on the floor.

all I can say is,,our dmax engines are really small compared to those monsters.
I have to ask,,whats the replacement cost of a v-16/20?.or do they just keep rebuilding them.

Im not sure about the rest of Cat dealers, but for Empire it's cheaper to get a Reman (O.R) from us than buy a reman straight from Caterpillar.

I looked a long time ago on about the tear down, machining, and reassembly and dyno testing costs and IIRC it was around $230,000 and had an average of 14 days from in the shop to out of dyno for a 3516 for a 793 haul truck. Could be wrong that was about 3 years ago.

I don't have the cost handy for the C175 V-20 797F engine, but I will say 4000 hp is awesome to walk around when it's running!

So is a 10,000 hp DeLaval. Especially when it goes from dead stop to full song in less than 10 seconds!
