metal shavings everywhere............

apparently they did not come from the trans.... only other culprit is the converter. So it will be on its way to Precision on monday. Mike will probably chime in here because i probably cant explain it very well, but a couple of clutches were wasted, and one of the tie-ups took out the C2 hub and bearing. (I think thats what mike said, feel free to correct me!)

Mike, thanks again for everything!:)-Jeff

The tie up started to take out the planet and C2 hub. Splines are twited. That was one bad 3/4 shift. C1 clutches were going bad and of course the C3's were blackened but not gone. The whole trans had a pasty metal coating that did not come from the trans components. Converter is suspect at this point.

Its gonna cost me almost as much $$ to send the converter in than it cost to ship my trans to Mike!!

Would anyone be interested in buying my 1057 after it gets refreshed?? I am kinda in a time crunch and I am still like 2 weeks out with freight... If I can get someone that wants to buy my 1057 I can get a new converter and only be out a little $$ in the end. let me know -Jeff

Jeff, It looks like I can get that shipped for about $35 using my Fed ex account. Let me know if I can help with this.

Thanks Chad, I can get around that price too, but it is for regular ground, i was kinda hoping to have this thing buttoned up by the end of the week!! I figure about 3 days to TN and 3 back and that puts me into next week. -Jeff

i'd rather drive that than the superduty V10 or the Minivan that I have the option to drive.... the V10 sounds like its trying to takeoff bacause the lifters are sticking so bad and the minivan is... well.... a MINIVAN!!!

My converter is supposed to be there on tues. It's going to take 6 business days to get there! That puts me out another week, going on # 3 now and if it takes that long to get back it will be a month! Damn long time to have your Daily Driver out of commision.....
