As far as power upgrades goes, just do dual fuelers and an S472 0r 475. You must get a very experienced tuner to tune it and make damn sure the torque is where it needs to be! This will be cheaper than doing the heads and intercooler and other mods that may or may not get you where you want to be. With the turbo and dual fuelers you can easily put your power where you want it but be careful!

In my experience, it is kinda hard to keep the caps in at high psi. Pretty scary when they blow off at 50+ psi

pretty much. if your not leaking at 20psi, its got to be a heck of a small leak to start leakin at 50psi. Fingers posted about his intercooler leakin a while back and started at 10psi and start makin his way up in psi. by the time he hit some high numbers (dunno what those were) he said he could see little tiny pin head type leaks start poppin up that werent noticable at lower pressures. i dont know if those little leaks add up to much or if they really matter or if all intercoolers leak like that though.

Yeah, I know going to a t-4 housed turbo such as a 464 or s366 would net me more hp on the top end, i don't think it would show up well on a dyno, just because of the spool-up factor. My t-3 does wind up pretty fast for most dyno's. Plus, a bigger or upgraded charger that flows more air, is going to add more stress to my "already on the edge" rods. At the track, I know i would see lower egt's and a better trap and e/t, but where I mainly compete on dyno's (read other posts for reasons) I don't think a bigger charger will help in my situation.

t-4 366 billet only way to go there love mine :thumb: also i had a bd before the billet t4 66 spools way faster and i mean way faster

I have had a BD before myself and a 66 definitely is a much better turbo. Spooling and power is substantially better.

Well, I ordered some headers and up pipes to get made today along with an electric fan. I will be porting and polishing my pedistal and prolly throwing on a billet compressor wheel.

If I go 66mm on my compressor, how much does it usually run to machine the housing? I may just stay with the 64.5mm. I don't know, I change my mind every thirty seconds.

I may also be going with a 3" y bridge too. Anyone know if that will be worth it? I'll have my turbo out of the way anyhow.....

A 3" Y bridge is no good unless you have some 3" IC tubes. And those are useless unless you can an intercooler that accepts a 3" tube. The whole intake tract is only as good as your tightest restriction.

Uhhh lb7s have 3'' from the factory? And the factory cooler accepts 3''???

what are you talking about? No they do not have a 3'' Y bridge from the factory, No they do not have 3'' IC tubes. What is the point of upgrading to a 3'' Y bridge if the air is still restricted by the 2.23-2.5'' (whatever it is) IC pipes?

factory LB7 federal (cali emission may be different) intercooler tubes are 3" from intercooler to y-bridge but neck down right at the y-bridge to 2.5". stock LB7 federal y-bridge is 2.5 till your hit the actual y and it really opens up. The turbo to intercooler pipe is 3" but isnt a full 3" all the way through, some bends and such neck down some. the intercooler openings are 3" on each side.

Y'all are right. Come to think of it i was measuring the inside diameter of the rubber IC hose that connects to my reducer out of the charger. It is tiny. The metal is 3'' OD iirc. Still far off from what the ID is of a aftermarket 3'' Y bridge tho

eitherway, the end of the intercooler pipe that attaches to the y-bridge and the y-bridge is the biggest restriction if you follow the flow path.

I lied in my previous post, I almost ordered headers, but I cant decide if i want to go cast or log..... Anybody have any suggestions? This is my dd btw.

Yeah, I should just ditch the bd, (shouldn't of gotten it in the first place) but $...... I'd be into it more $ for a t-4 ped, and if I get another single, I'd prolly want a billet S472, not a 366. My bd is still a great option to compound off of, but i won't be doing anything with my turbo(s) unless i build the motor.

Talk to trent pretty sure your bd can be made to work :thumb: and od do cast manifolds less headaches

Cast manifolds are definitely less headaches, but the headers make a noticeable difference in performance.
