What a dumb ass video. 6 minutes wasted of my life.

But it is very true that these are the kinds of people that give the diesel community a bad name.

That's so F'ing ridiculous!!! Absolutely wrong in so many ways when it comes to the diesel community, bunch of punk ass high school fags trying to be cool with their daddy's truck, that's damn near as bad as a Dodge Douche running around here that dumps black smoke at the lightest touch of the throttle with a SMOKE SWITCH!! since he smoked me out the other day with my newborn daughter in the truck and I followed him to Taco Bell and bitched his 17 yr old ass out and he laughed....:D I haven't seen him back on the road in the last week so far, I got his ass good:roflmao: I didn't leave when he thought I did...just sayin

I just don't understand how kids afford trucks like this.

Same here.

Ditto. I worked my azz off for over a decade and was over 30 before I had something really nice, WTF was I doin wrong?

I can't stand idiots that oral the coal, I put em on Darwin's list and wait...
I had a dodge in front of me one time that could black out the country side (ask me how I know) and I passed him in a double yellow cuz I was sick of his cloud he was intentionally distributing, he had the nerve to "try" and chase me down (but couldn't) then at a stop sign finally caught up and jumped out of his truck to tell me what a d-bag I was. I replied "sorry about your butt" he walked away cussing and confused. LOL
F-er was pretty lucky he didn't touch my truck and I was in a good mood;)

It sucks to be lumped in to the stereotype these azz hats create just cuz ya drive a diesel.

I actually did that on accident once to a PT cruiser. I pulled up in the left lane at a stop light and quickly realized I needed to be in the right lane to turn in about 500 ft.... The cruiser jumped me at the light and without thinking I stabbed the throttle & his window was down on a 3150us tune . He just happened to be going the same way as me and quickly caught up to me at the next light, swerved in to my lane inches from my door and cussed me out, flipped me off and then tore off after the light went green. Pissed me off something fierce at the time but after I thought about it, I felt pretty bad. I'm very careful about Throttle application around town anymore:D

I have also had something similar happen to me. Sometimes its a little tricky trying to beat cars to merge lanes and not smoke out the highway. If I dropped to one of my tow tunes that runs clean it wouldn't happen, but usually when I realize I'm in a tight spot I just don't think quick enough. Normally I can accelerate pretty hard without smoking but sometimes I get too trigger happy and unlike allot of people out there it actually embarrasses me.

I've been loading Steves EFI tunes in several trucks around town lately and a couple of them asked if they could get smoke tunes. My reply was simple. "No Steve and I don't sell smoke tunes and those out to blow smoke all around town are just giving diesel performance a bad name. It's not cool despite what you saw on YouTube or what your buddies think. We don't want to be associated with that stuff." One guy looked at me kinda surprised and I had a stern feel and tone.

We all have to be part of the culture that sends the message to these kids that its not cool.
Wether they admit it or not they look up to those who are farther along in the sport than they are. They ask questions about parts and buy from those of us who can sell them parts. The message has to be sent on that level. They need to know its not ok and those leading the way in diesel performance don't condone that crap. It won't stop all the kids but if we can get some of them to think twice, our efforts are worth it.

I'm the same way, it embarrasses me as well.

On a kind of funny side note. My wife goes to the gym at 4:30am when Im headed to work. I car pool with my neighbor. We pull up to the light and she pulls up next to us in my truck and proceeds to Roll Coal all over his truck:mad::eek::D We looked at each other and I said ya that just happened.
I'm not a DSP switch fan but right then I thought it might be a good idea lol.

This is why DPFs were invented. Jack@ss kids playing around with smoke tunes and messing it up for the rest of us.
