Back when diesel performance first really took off it seemed the more power you had the more smoke you generated. Today there's nothing further from the truth, My truck is stronger with its present setup than ever and at full throttle I have zero smoke. Some people need to let there attitudes evolve like diesel performance has over the last few years.

We'll said, I for one love that my truck burns clean and is difficult for others to even tell that it's a diesel:thumb:

I actually did that on accident once to a PT cruiser. I pulled up in the left lane at a stop light and quickly realized I needed to be in the right lane to turn in about 500 ft.... The cruiser jumped me at the light and without thinking I stabbed the throttle & his window was down on a 3150us tune . He just happened to be going the same way as me and quickly caught up to me at the next light, swerved in to my lane inches from my door and cussed me out, flipped me off and then tore off after the light went green. Pissed me off something fierce at the time but after I thought about it, I felt pretty bad. I'm very careful about Throttle application around town anymore:D

I've done this to but I went oops and didn't worry bout it much I have never been flipped or even bothered by someone when I've done this around here its usually a thumbs up but I wonder who tuned that thing..... or if it's one of them I got my bw stacked on my edge juice with hot unlock ****s

I'm the same way, it embarrasses me as well.

On a kind of funny side note. My wife goes to the gym at 4:30am when Im headed to work. I car pool with my neighbor. We pull up to the light and she pulls up next to us in my truck and proceeds to Roll Coal all over his truck:mad::eek::D We looked at each other and I said ya that just happened.
I'm not a DSP switch fan but right then I thought it might be a good idea lol.

Lol, epic!!!

Ya this Alaskan was pretty up tight... Maybe the window down and my 5" exhaust pointed at it might of had something to do with it. Either way, I felt bad and it reminds me to go easy on the throttle.

I blame the allison and it's adaptive learn:angel:, makes me not want switch the tunes much...

So true, I run my max effort tune almost all the time. It would suck to get challenged and have to ask the challenger to give you a couple days to get your trans adapted to your hot tune.

That is just dumb but your question about how kids these days afford these trucks is better asked how do these kids parents afford these trucks or most likely the bank.

For adaptive shifts I always race in T/H So when I want to boot it hit the button and instantly knows how to shift. From what I understand regular d is one set of shift patterns stored and the T/H is a separate set of shifting patterns

I never thought of that but it's a good idea. Too bad I use TH all the time.

I watched maybe 30 seconds of that video, and felt an all too familiar deep burning hatred for Cummins drivers. I hate them with a passion, and if I had my way, I would do unspeakable things to them shortly after sh*t like this happens. Pisses me off. Demonic thoughts over.

Does my truck smoke? Yeah if you stab it like a moron...I don't run any fuel limiting.

Do I hate blowing smoke? Absolutely, it makes me feel like a total ***** when it happens, like others have said usually when passing at low RPM 5th gear speeds..50mph roads. (Unlock feature on converter lockbox helps with this though)

Maybe that's why I drive so slow haha

My fiancé and I got smoked out the other night while crossing the street.... It made me embarrassed that there are folks this ignorant and folks consider us the "diesel community". I really wanted to get back in my truck, chase him down, and let him know how much of a nobody loser he truly was. It legitimately pissed me off. Disrespectful little *****s that do that or come to our shop for it will nearly be crying or embarrassed they ever asked stupid questions like that around us. I sincerely hate the folks that do this junk and hurt our industry.

Thats just bad on so many levels.

Hey, how cool would it be if duramax diesels wrote/somehow submit a bill that makes "rolling coal" an enforceable crime. Basically make it easy to get busted on and a hefty fine....?

It is an enforceable crime here in Florida. I know bc I've been threatened with the ticket before  (not for intentionally blasting smoke at people, I did a boosted launch at what I thought was an empty clear red light. My truck burps out a pretty good puff to light the turbo then it's clear as stock) Damn cop popped out of nowhere and since there was nobody else at the light and I let off when I got to the speed limit he couldn't get me for racing or speeding. So he threatened me with "showing visible exhaust emissions that lingered for 5 seconds or longer" Luckily he was cool and told me just not to get caught next time.

I wouldn't put that on the Internet. But everyone has done something stupid, that they think is fun one time or another. How many of y'all have egged a house, tee peed, or n$:&er knocked someone's house? Just blow it off guys, it's not like its effecting your health or anything like that. I haven't ever laid a cloud down on pedistrians but I've sure left an intersection blacked out before. Who cares
