May want to heat them to break down the lock-tite, if you round them off you are screwed.

I was going to suggest that because he was probably outside and it is awful cold.
I just wasn't sure how to safely get fire in there.
Do you think going in through the inspection hole would be a good idea or did you have a different plan?

I was thinking hand held propane torch throught the inspection hole and have a garden hose ready.

You need to use an impact style ball swivel. The block/pin style are not good under a heavy load.

Shift sensor isn't working right... When I move my shifter inside the truck the cluster is not showing it go from Park, Rev, neutral, drive... And the truck won't start. I can jump the starter and get it to start. Any ideas?

The new one... Got everything going but when I put it in drive.. Makes a big thump like something hitting inside. Only putting it in drive. I jacked it up and ran it up to 70mph sounded Ok.. But going into drive sounds like something is going to break. Tried calling the guy I bought it from.. He dont answer. Looks like I got sold a bad transmission.

And my ck engine light is on now..

If the cel is on with a trans code it will shift hard at higher pressure. Garage shifts will be harsh.
Might even be stuck in 4th?

Can you clear the tcm codes and recheck. I am sure the nsbu ordeal set some codes.

Also you should do a relearn if you know what that is.

You are getting there be patient

I don't have a scanner... But it looks like the shift sensor on the drivers side that the linkage is hooked to is cracked on the bottom. I had to play with that plug to get it to read correctly on the cluster.

Just got under the truck while my wife switch from D to R.. I can see the drive shaft jump when it makes that clunking noise. Like the synchronizes or off... Its coming from the transmission for sure. Where do I have to buy that shift sensor? Is that a dealer part?
