I owned my LML for over 6 years and the only trouble I had with it was the smog crap and bad TCM. I didn't delete it as I didn't know how long I would have it and I live in Calif.
With Rob's tuning I had no dead pedal and could blow the tires off the line at will. The truck was great. IMHO, delete the smog crap, replace the CP4, and a good tune you would have a great truck.

You could have an LB7 short block, LLY top end, LBZ trans, different valve body, LML rear drive shaft plus a host of other upgrades and wrap it all in a 02 body. i dont think they make RPO codes that long lol

A new cp4, I injectors and rails are still cheaper then a set of lb7 sticks. We are starting to see a huge amount of lbz and lmm injector failures. I like the older ones cause they are simple and the box sits lower. But the newer ones tow way better. They all have ups and downs.
I love listen to people about not having to make payments. Payments only last 6 years and after that you still have a great truck instead of buying some else's problem.

I hope no one made payments for 6 years... my truck turned 6 in may and i paid it off 2.5-3 years ago and have 23k on the odo.

I won't pay my truck off a day early. The low interest rates make it cheap money. The same money invested over the duration of the loan will make way more money over time. The same applies to most mortgages...
