I'd buy it, won't drop much over the years if cared for. Look at what a high mileage lbz sells for...

Yeah that what I’m thinking, plus they want to give me 20 for mine
Thanks for the advice!!!!

Or pick up a new body style LML and have it all!!!:D

no way.... still got the dead pedal to contend with (it becomes very apparent in az heat even with the new update in the truck), CP4 crap and available tuning is good but its far from refined due to lack of tables and how everything intertwines. plus its 50hp short of an L5P.

If he wants to tune the thing and keep it reliable, i wouldnt even suggest buying a 40-50k LML, jsut stick with the truck he has. build the trans, put twins on and put a tune in that is about 400-450rwhp max, engine oil cooler and your off and running. That is all assuming the fuel system is in good shape, mechanically everything else is good and so on.

Well. I guess we differ on opinion then. Lots of people in the know hate the L5P, seems it's a disconnected turd. Hence why I kept my 16...

Thats just crazy how different people get different feelings from same truck.. Stock for stock I would drive the L5p over any other truck without even having to think about it.. The transmission shifting strategy is one of the reasons too, I loved it.

When my LB7 started to show some signs of wear, I thought about an LBZ, until I drove an L5P. It's an awesome truck stock, but just not enough for me long term. Ultimately I found a 15.5' and couldn't be happier.

If you want to build a race truck, LBZ all the way. If you want to keep a stock truck, L5P all the way. If you want all the amenities of a new truck with the tune ability, 15+ LML all the way.

I wouldn't trade my traction control that lets my wife drive my truck on icy road for anything in the new LML along with everything else. But that isn't important to some people, and I get it.

I love my new truck. Older trucks are fun but it is nice to just jump in a nice, quiet, smooth, worry free ride and go somewhere with the wife and baby. Plus like stated above with the modern traction control I don't have to worry about my wife spinning around in the road when she tries to drive my 550hp truck like she does her AWD explorer.

And mines a Ford so I even tow 20k+ without taking her off the big tune with no worries of kamikaze pistons

Throw a hitch in the bed and do a “24 hour test drive”, hook that trailer up and test it out! Lol
