k fine I wont fix it. Ill just wait for you to pick through the BIN (thats what the actual file in the ecm is called), and fix it in assembler (a very low-level programming language that ross has to pick through in order to make it into a fancy GUI-based ECM calibration modifying tool (otherwise called efilive) that any idiot with a windows PC can use)
I dont have an LMM, I really dont care about fixing them if people think its stupid of me to put any effort into this. I have plenty of other projects and work to get done, its not like im bored and need something to do.
Ben,
Your age is really showing in your posts.....
.....calm down, I just want a fix not not a band-aid.
Why would you want to not "find" or "fix" the problem ???? I do not believe that building a fooler in the long run is the right answer to the problem as it will pop up on other builds and other OS's.
Although I am sure everyone would appreciate another BT Gizmo the problem will still exist and I would rather the problem be fixed then covered up.
Maybe Brayden is right, maybe it's a sensor, maybe Kory is right, maybe it's a voltage anomoly, maybe I am right and something in the code is still waiting to be discovered........what I do not want moving forward is tuners telling EFI-Live they are NOT having troubles when they truly are and because they won't swallow their pride and bruise their ego to come out and say "WE HAVE A PROBLEM" things like this are not taken as seriously as they need to be until the owner of the truck throws his hands up and say WTF !!!! My truck won't run and nobody knows why !!!
Telling Ross that all is fine, never had a problem, first I have heard is doing a dis-service to EFI-Live and the community. I know we have a problem, I just don't know at this time if its a sensor, but what I do know is up until now with what we have for tables to adjust/set-up and DTC lists if you tell a code not to set it usually does not, with exception of a few of these LMM's
Who will be tuning the truck now?
We are happy to assist whoever is tuning it and if people are convinced it's a low boost error still then we can pursue that further, but the last test we had done with Tony the truck limped with zero DTC's being set after.
I have almost 30 hours in this with the builder, I don't care about being paid for my time, I just wanted and hoped to find the problem, but as Ross stated, we eliminated all DTC Codes and it would still throw a reduced engine power message at certain conditions. Without a code to go by Ross was throwing darts at a dartboard in the dark !!!!
I know its boost related because when it makes little or no boost it throws zero codes, when you try to manipulate the VVT to bring boost in quicker it codes, Rob failed and I failed in getting it to do what we wanted it to do.
So if everyone else wants to try it I will email you or post up Matt's stock tune so everyone can play around with it.
