Yeah everyone wants to go fast but 'no limps'. They get mad?

Ive had some of the craziest requests...lol like the stock trans sand drag tune?? rocky point mexico i guess, must just be that i live in the southwest...the heat gets to people haha.

I can only do so much between stock tune as the base and +100hp as tune #5 lol can barely tell the difference between them

i currently have 1 lope 1 smoke and 3 normal tunes tunes.... i dont care for the 2 lower power tunes. i would like a lope+smoke tune thrown into the mix. help:D

eh tuning in person is different and way more fun since its hands on. sitting in front of the computer looking at logs sucks way more than rosting tires logging in-cab :D

hehe, maybe you should come "tune" mine more often then. tuesday was fun :roflmao:

Am I the only one that had a serious request that they wanted a tune that made the truck quieter going through drive throughs? Lol!!!!

OMG!!! I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can you make mine as quite as a gasser all the way through the rpm range too?!?! :D

my window was down and i could clearly hear your right front tire screaming for mercy peeling off layers like onions or shreks or cakes or something. no definitely not cakes...onions.

Its def not a hayday or video game for the builder, this truck literally almost ruined me! I poured my heart and soul in this thing and lots of money. That I don't have! There's no interesting story about this dan. The man told me he wanted his truck perfect. So that's what I did. I built this thing as if it where mine. I documented 250 labor hours in this truck. Not counting months of tuning and logging on a daily basis with tony that the customer never got billed for. Yea I should have kept him updated when I was making decisions about his truck without consulting him but I guess I just assumed he wouldn't mind paying for it and has all the money. I'm sure Tony and I could have worked this issue out but I couldn't invest anymore time in it...period. now the whole process is starting right back over where we started months ago. There's nothing wrong with this truck. There are no boost leaks and none of the sensors are bad. As previously stated if one of those sensors are bad or there's a boost leak why wouldn't it code all the time instead of with certain tunes? When tony would get the boost to come on for a split second before reduced power came up it was a spooling monster. When he slowed the boost down off the bottom it wouldn't code. Tonys tuning made the most power hands down. Its a mixture between the massive amount of flow numbers we picked up on the heads, the large cam and the cheetah. Non vvt would be the ticket would just require entire setup change. I hope it can be fixed without throwing tons of parts at it.

I should not say anything, but I feel I need to.

I just spent four hours in a built motor LMM, 4094VVT/Danville Modified charger with a S475 on top of it, it is a new build, local to me in CT.

It spools unreal, it did not code for any underboost or throw any "reduced engine power", in fact I tried everything I could to get it to code, it would not.

I am not knocking Fleece or Garrett or am I saying that Danville is the greatest, that is not my intention of this post.

This post is to simply share information, the only difference with the other trucks IMHO was the modified 4094vvt charger from Danville, it works and works very well.

Everyone is free to make their own determination from this information, but I can share the stock OS with anyone who wants it, it is the latest TIS OS for a 2009/LMM and was just downloaded on Friday from TIS.

SoCal Diesel can provide the build info to me if I request it, it does have 60% injectors and is a Stage 1 motor with up-pipes and manifolds.

Ross has been notified by email of my findings, I do agree with Jeremy, the amount of time spent for free logging, changing, re-tuning was significant, and I question that it is not EFI-LIVE software but hard part related at this time.

I would like to see another truck with a standard 4094VVT get swapped with a Modded one without twins to see if that truly is the Fix, perhaps Rob will do this as he has an LMM and is already started the process. I for one do not have a truck or the time to do this to.

;)

Well i still think theres a problem with efi( not a problem just something left to be found to help) imo we cant control the ecm at all when it comes to stopping the 299 underboost cide or even egr codes at times i think they need to revist the lmm and see what they can do. I have no idea how to be of help to efi live with the truck i fought but i did ultimately get it working (kinda) throttle response had to suffer like you did with this truck but i just dont think its a turbo being the root cause we have no problem with the same turbos on a lbz???

LBZ's do not have DPF code, or Air Intake Valve Code, or Transient Table Code or Regneration Code within the OS.

It's Apple's to Oranges.

Do I think the DTC lists and soft codes could be improved, yes, but this is the first one in a while that did not suffer from a p0299 code.

I did not set this up any different then I did the other three that have p0299 codes.

This is simply a effort to share my findings.

Just to let everyone know ...........

I have never met Jeremy personally but have talked to him countless times on the phone before this truck . I just want to point out from second person looking at this truck , the time and attention to detail was not missed on this build. Jeremy did a wonderful job on it, and can understand his fustration at this time in the build. Nothing hurts worst than to put your blood ,sweat ,and tears into something and can't even enjoy the feeling that your customer really is proud of your work . This is not directed at Matt ( the owner of said truck) but to let everyone know this was a bad deal for Jeremy equally .

As far as the lbz's go with 4094vvt , I have been told that the ECM and tables available to us with it are a little different .

And yes but on the lmm having more tables codes but still similar fueling and turbo setup from the factory why doesnt the cheetah code? Not saying your off in anyway just picking brains here and wondering why we can ask for boost fast with early vvt trucks with no issue?

It's not that we can't ask for boost fast , it's the time the new charger takes to make x amount of boost . Basically if the ECM says I need x amount of boost at y rpm and the turbo does not supply with z milliseconds , then you get your underboost code .

That is the million dollar question we all want the answer to.

;)

One I tried for over a month to get an answer to.
