If you have not purchased the trp, for a third the price and almost the same build you can have the loaded model, throw a kimpro 8rd tac mag in there thats a sweet 1911. I know, i own it, it is the most accurate hand gun i own. At 25ft i can put one big hole and a couple small holes in a target with 9 rounds in just over 4 seconds.

Biggest thing is how much I have to spend when the time comes. I just really dig the front strap checkering on the trp. But the DW specialist is dam fine and no mim. I keep changing my mind

Buy em all:thumb:
Funny you like the front strap checkering, it is the only thing i dont. Its kinda grabby from even the most broken in holster without the perfect draw, because of that checkering. Its my carry weapon, i draw it all the time, to stay in practice cuz of that checkering. Hopefully the truck will stop sucking me dry, there is a boxed set of kimber royal' at my favorite gun shop, id put money on em, but the dmax just got towed into the shop tonight, and i dont think its gonna be cheap.

If we're talking zombie apocalypse...

I'd go for a Remington 870 12 gauge 3.5" with screw in chokes. A Rock River AR15 with a few 30 round clips and a nice scope to snipe em with. And lastly if they get real close I'd go for a kimber 1911 .40 cal.

All dead reliable with plenty of ammo and spare parts available.

dead reliable and plenty of parts available??

believe that at the same time as I see the zombies walking down the street....

compared to "modern day" defensive pistols the 1911 platform is far from the most reliable with the amount of tweaking and fitting they require to make them reliable in the first place, and I have yet to see a plethora of parts for a 40cal 1911

Ok ok ok... that might have been personal preference on that one! I guess maybe one of the larger frame flocks would be a better choice. Like a model 17 maybe. I was just thinking about how much I love shooting my dads kimber :D

I'll take my mossberg 500 tactical, a ar frame in 308 and the tarus raging judge. To bad the judge got outlawed here in Cali. What's a good brand of the ar frame my wife told me I get one for christmas
