Ok forget it:rolleyes: If i have to ask you what the second thing they told and the third thing and the fourth thing and so on and so on......Its not really worth it!

If you had something to say, Then you could of just said it;)

You wouldn't have to ask twice if you would pay attention the first time.:baby:

I talked to Mike as well, and he told me the same thing about the ring lands showing significant wear..... So what now simon? Did I talk to the wrong Mike?

Or was he purposely trying to talk down his own pistons.....???

Forged pistons are not proven for daily driving, PERIOD! I don't care what brand!!!!

I just don't understand why everything is hush hush on the forums.

And I dont understand why you complain about this and yet do the same thing? You keep proding and poking and yet clearly allready talked to Arias

Ask twice ...you two beat around the bush and yet know something to begin with? Instead of stating what you knew allready......Why?Because you love the drama:rolleyes:

And yes i geuss Mike was bashing his own pistons,From what he has told you guys.

Forged pistons and daily driving is not proven yet? Thank for letting me know that:rofl:

From what I was told by Mike at arias, the pistons show ring land wear. When asked, he him hawed around on wether or not he would re use them. So to give everyone some closure, the pistons were not reused and are at arias facility. So the moral of this story is, arias pistons cost $2200.00 and that does not include wrist pins or cir-clips. The Mahle pistons run $2500.00 complete. I am not bashing the arias pistons, just wondering what the big deal is with telling the truth when asked a question.

Does this information make you happy Simon?

Thanks Josh
I didnt realize there piston cost that much.

Simon, I was just trying to let codyn post the information. After all it was his pistons so who better than...well him. That is why I posted the way I did, to see if he would tell the truth, he decided not to so I posted what I was told. It is not what I read....it is what heard, as in with my own 2 ears. I was only trying to respect him and his parts, but I felt that the information was very important no matter the cause(streetable or not) as the pistons are not cheap. That is the only reason I posted in this thread, not to push another brand or send someone to another company, I am not like that.

Sorry to dissapoint you about not being tied in with Steve Cole either, however that was a nice attempt to give readers the impression that the FACTS I posted were not true.

Perhaps you should pick and choose your battles, because you lost this one. And please, don't try and make it appear that you did not. You asked for proof, I delivered it after not only myself but another member hinted there was more to the story and he still did not respond with it. You know just as well as I do who I spoke to and what they said. Keep in mind that only after I started to talk price, did his story change from helpful and honest to salesman talk. ;)

In the end, atleast one member read this thread, got some good information from it and even thanked me for actually doing my own research and not just believing everything I read on the internet. Afterall, how would we learn if we don't make the calls and ask the questions. Enjoy your night, I have to go to work tomm and sell parts.

 right i appreciate the research that you have done. but lets not get crazy on pushing people away from some companys :D

If you would be so kind as to direct people to one of my posts where I said not to buy from arias that would be great. Heck just quote me for that matter, it will make this much easier. Thanks mr.beech

Well said Josh. Information about anything mechanical related can only help the community figure out how to make parts better and help us all tune better to save our engines.

I know Josh and know he is not connected with Steve to the best of my knowledge. He has never made any mention of him to me in any of our conversations.

You guya are something!

If you think your going to get parts that last forever :baby:you need to leave your stuff stock. The reason he(Cody) did not reuse his pistons was not because of what was said here but what does that matter you make it into whatever you want. Some of you guys act like little school girls. Jeff

How many stock gassers come with forged pistons? I can think of a few. They get driven every day, many times harder than the same engine without forged pistons and seem to last just as long. I have also called and been told the ring lands were fine and that the pistons would have been reused if new valve reliefs didn't have to be cut for the bigger cam........ I was also quoted less than $2200 and it was with pins, clips and rings with just the sides coated and a little more (still less than $2200) if you want the tops coated (with a differet coating) too......

IMO if you are looking into forged pistons you are building something that you can't expect to last forever. New stock LB7 pistons cut and coated with rings and pins will cost you about the same and there are many big hp trucks runnning them with good results. I know we aren't the only ones that have put a built motor back together with the cut & coated pistons that were previously in it.
