tonight! i only get to the shop once or twice a week b/c it's so damn far from my house.

i went to a place this morning to see if they could bead roll the bed pieces but it's too thick. so i think i'm just gonna scrap the bead idea and just keep it smooth. i have plenty of support under the bed so strength isn't an issue, it was just for looks.

not much progress got most of the bed welded up. i changed my mind on the tubs not gonna do the bead roll, just gonna pick up some trailer fenders and make them work like i did the fronts. i also fixed some of the ripped pieces on the bed where the stock supports were mounted. holy hell does the bed weigh a ton now, hopefully traction will not be as big as issue now. oh and i foudn a spot to mount my AD too. i also am going to put the bumper back on let me know what you think. also fabbed up a 6" stack, i was trying to make a slash cut and made this lol.

didn't get much done this weekend, but i did manage to break my cell phone, my $300 welding helmet and the tip on my plasma cutter. but saturday i got to pick up my next project so bringing home a new vehicle is always fun. went today and re-relocated my fuse box. i had it in the wheel well before and was never rally comfortable with it there so it needed to go elsewhere.

first the new project. picked her up for $900 bucks with a clear title.

i'm gonna make it my daily, but the frame is bent, so i'm getting a new frame that's already body dropped and all for $750 bucks. it's got a 4.3 in it now so i'm gonna keep that for a while, it's got 179k on it so not sure how much longer it will be good for. once it goes i have a cummins i'm thinking about putting in there.

but of course, the frame is already set up to lay the rockers on the ground:D. i thought about making it 4wd but the frame is just too bad, i would love to have something lifted again. and i hope so about the motor, i'd really rather save the cummins i have for my rat rod.

check out the frame i'm gonna get...

Dman good deal man, I am not into the baggin thing but you seem to have it figured out your truck looks F"in mean.

The 4.3 is a turd but they run for a very long time just like the 350. The 4.3 Vortech I beleive had intake gasket problems and that was it. Pretty cheap fix and you are set.
I am ready to tear into my Cummins project too, for my old 88 chevy.
