Don’t go too low or the center of the tire will cup in on launch and you will loose grip

Well right when we got it launching good, could have used a small drop in pressure in back again. 6th gear ground every run and now doesn't exist anymore. But probably 10 passes at 750 hp and didn't break it other than 6th. Cut a best of 1.57 60 foot still slightly spinning the backs.

I think Mark Nixon still has that ZF for sale over at CompD if it comes to that.

Cody albretched of super stick transmissions in Texas wants my trans to modify so he might get it sooner than expected. Last run was flawless except never wouldn't go in 6th. I was grinding 6th pulling it back letting out and jaming it back in off the throttle and reflooring it and hit 11.21 still

Sounds like what used to happen to me with my Mustang going from 2-3. Fine under normal driving, but under power would jam up.

Hopefully it'll be a "simple" fix that wont cost you an arm and a leg.
When you're breaking new ground, you always the first to find the weak points and the first to fix them. ;)

Shouldn't be super expensive. I wanna throw a new synchro assembly in 6th and go back down. Could have the billet wheel done also then

Well the current plan to hit 10s this year is to yank the zf6 and ship it to Cody Albrecht at super stick transmissions in texas and get the full treatment. He currently builds very strong very fast shifting hd truck transmissions. He said my grinding and missing shifts will be a thing of the past and no breakage in the back of my mind while coming off the line. We will have it back in time before the local track closes. I'm excited to see what an already very strong manual trans is like when fully build and coupled with dans triple disc.

Sweet man! How much does it cost to build a zf6 compared to a Allison?

I know he has alot of custom work that goes into synchros and such that they do in house, fully rebuilt cryoed and fast shift mods he said are in the low 4k dollar range. So it's right up there with an auto minus the 2k dollar + clutches you need to go with it lol. But like i said hes not just throwing a kit in it either.
