I thougt he ran that after he dyoned the big number. Doesn't mean he ran the same amount of nitrous on his passes. Dyno's are fun to see numbers, but I've seen trucks with what I call dyno tunes run like crap down a drag strip. I'm sure not his case but using less power to try and get the power to the ground on his 10.70's pass. His mph does show it can go much quicker. That being said if his regular cab is setup right and hooks I'm sure it will run a great number. But to think Maxed out only has 9.70's in it is rediculas. I'm sure it will be a good time seeing these two go at it. Someone will be in the 8's next year it's just who gets their first. Don't forget about Buck and Trent.

Maybe they should change his name because it obviously is running Max'd out

I would hope they wouldn't be holding back it would be nice putting a dmax on top with so many cummins putting down mid to low 9's holding back doesn't make sense

Holding back doesn't make any sense unless it's your money and your truck out there on the line waiting to break a bunch of expensive parts, and get put back on the trailer before eliminations even get started.

And just to put this in perspective, there aren't that many trucks that run 9's when you put it on paper. Max'd Out would still be #17 on the fastest Cummins list. The top of that list has several rails, tube chassis vehicles, altereds, etc.

Not saying if they are, or not holding back. Doesn't really matter to me. But to say holding back doesn't make sense ignores some important points of racing. Something about you have to first finish to finish first.

My opinion anyway.

I should stay out of this and don't want to stir the shit up, but i consider these facts and not "smack talk" so I will post them .
Out side of Sac raceway the truck hasn't been over 135 mph but going off of memory may some one knows for sure, still very impressive and enough for 9's but not huge HP MPH the HP level is on par with most big trucks out there ( 11-1200 ) .

On my truck even after adding the PBK and race cover on the S475, I still have not gotten the MPH I got while out there ( 146.** ) , that should have been 30 lbs per minute more air for me min and still short 2-3 . granted a 6kft elevation difference though so ?????

The truck ran @ RMR the day before hitting 1700 , ran 11.20's but i was not there so it is some what "hersay" . He has hit 10.8 there though before .

Some people are smart enough to not run everything "all out" all the time.

Those who aren't, get the joy of working on there truck a lot.......;)

yall we are forgetting the biggest piece of this puzzle , i don't care if your duramax makes 8000hp on a dyno, if your truck doesnt work at the track you aint gonna do quat !!!:thumb: fact is maxed out just works period ,dimitri's truck is awesome i just think he has some bugs to work out on the suspension

The minute you start building something to go fast no matter what it is car truck motorcycle you are flirting with breaking your stuff it's a part
of the sport. smart people may not break stuff by not pushing the limits but everyone goes about different and for some pushing the limits is the whole point see what works if it doesn't it breaks and on to the next setup if you wait for someone else to figure everything out for you then your always chasing everyone else.just my opinion nothing more

First off who is maxed out chasing? Truck was built to try and win championships from what I understand. They don't go out everytime to set records but to win. You run balls out every pass your going to break something at their power level along with other guys at those levels no matter what combo you run. They can run in the 9's not going all out. Just like it was stated earlier you have to be around at the end to be able to win an event. I see what your saying but 500-700 rwhp is a different game than 1000+rwhp.

Who are they chasing if it was me I would be chasing the trucks running a half second faster than me And trying to put down runs at those times without breaking but hey that's just me and I def don't have the time money or knowledge to be in that position.I get what your saying and I'm not going to argue about things that don't pertain to me. And when I said that works for people who like second I wasn't talking about max'd out Im saying another word

Max'd Out has never been turned up all the way yet, period. There has been no reason to. It'll run 9.7's and still has est. 15-20% HP left on tap if needed, but have never needed it.

I don't put down fast times for ego's sake, been doing this many years and have well over a 1000 1/4 mile passes behind a Dmax. I win races and that is my only priority, not pounding my chest.

This stuff is not cheap, takes using your head and not your pride, to get one to live for a year of competition.

with everything being said both ways, next year will be a shoot out, buck, simon, trent, maxed out, camomax, to just start the list, with prob plenty more joining the competition for top max. I know my dyno numbers dont add up to my times on the track, there not suppose to, i always sprayed the balls off my truck on the dyno and very little on the track, i couldnt control the twins as they were much less adding a ton of spray. with that being said lets refer my truck as a 10.7 average at 135 on 1136 horse is about what it ran on fuel, at the end of the year i was able to reach 1236 on fuel but lost the motor before i could run it. every time i sprayed i just blew off the tires. Maxed out is no joke, and by no means am i saying im going to just show up and blow their doors off, that would be like saying your going to kid nap the president, but i will give them a run i promise them that, and they know im coming. they are staying on fuel and im packing the spray as usual, if rob puts up a 1000 dollars for charity i will put in 500 i cant quite match that but i will go half, it should be a good time and race, for all the people attending as well as our selves:)

Yeah we should all shut up since it's not our money being offered up and all your guy's money being poured into the trucks for us to watch! Good luck to you all as it will be a great coming year for the Dmax crowd.
