This guys issue was fixed by replacing the ECM. this is off a tech website the shop I work at is subscribed to.

Tried a different ecm same issue no truck never threw a code in 3 years of racing. But I have swapped everything there is ecm, harnesses, fpr, controllers, reluctor wheels, sensors everything new grounds cleaned grounds over and over and nothing so
I am giving up had enough already sold my 80 and probably the rest to follow just want to wash hands of it and be done 12k and 4 months of building and 5 days of fighting this issue with no gains and more money wasted and no ideas left had fresh eyes on it an all still nothing

I'm burnt out man 5 different people in person everyone on here trying and nothing and to top it off both main seals leaked when it ran for about 20 secs not sure if all the crank case pressure from all the fuel or what happened so screw it it sucks and pisses me off to no end.

Step back n let it sit for a week. In the mean time start asking around and find a GOOD diagnostic shop to take it to. Also take a long look at that second pic I posted, there's some good info there.
For sure take a break. I was in your boat just a few days ago, slightly different problems but none the less. Mine was down 5 months. Finally got it started but could get over 2k rpm. I fought for 2 weeks and gave up. Took some days off and then came back to her nice and calm, my brain worked better and I found the right crap to look at and my tuner made the change. Works good now.
Moral is just let her sit for a few days. She been down 5 months. What's a few days.
Keep your head up, you'll get it figured out and the smiles will be worth it afterwards.

Had lots of help from the only other local shop I deal with.... if I can't get and probably won't have it running in couple days it'll sit till winter depending on what I decide to do with It wish I could have someone just come and say you dumb **** this is the problem but no has been able to do it

I'm guessing you talked with Cam? As much as it hurts to do it, try calling James. One more head in there may find something others missed. Good luck man!
Also start a new thread just for this problem, I think at this point we can rule out electronics and that doesn't leave much to check as far as finding what's setting the code.
glad I could be of some use even if the harnesses I brought didn't work and my suggestions didn't do any more than cost you some time and work. Hope you get it sorted out dude. I wouldn't be giving up just yet, if anything take some time away and come back to it later.
