i don't think trents kit is the blame at all on the drain theory, my mechanical mind tells me it would backup way faster feeding into the pan , than said valve cover. Oh and by the way, imo there is noway to fill the valve cover so much it backs up in the turbo .:thumb:
Wow! I just read this thread. A lot of nay sayers in here. First off trents kit and support are awesome so that is definitely not the case. My air filter was not plugged it was brand new so that's not the issue. There is no gunk in my heads, my motor was pulled for building purpose and ran fine and would handle more abuse. I was simply talking to Jordan and throwing ideas around. There IS positive pressure in the valve cover under high load which IS causing oil to push out the seals. I pulled my trailer 700 miles and at times was pushing 65psi and ran 3 passes at the strip. Normal or hot rodding around town wouldnt do it. Just under serious pressure for a long period. There is no lines kinked I'm not stupid nor do I rig shit together. My motor was solid and was 410psi on compression before I pulled it at 180k miles. This is stupid people are saying no no no it can't be. Well if you would make the jaunt to Alaska I will be happy to throw the set on another truck and show you. Also there is a rib on that lower valve cover that will break off and sit in the head. You have to pull the cover off anyways to make sure it didnt fall in there.
Trent, let me know when those bad boys leave today! really hope they make it here by wednesday.
Hey pussy...I don't want to hear about rings and shit...I want to hear about built motors and other good stuff. Let me know when you get it all done up...I will need to come check it out.
Jordan I know your not trying to bash anything , but if i tell you "hey Jordan my Buddy drank a Budweiser and after he was done his ears started bleeding" and then said " I dont think you should drink one either because your ears will bleed too "
you being a paramedic ( just as i am a mechanic in this scenario ) you are going to say , I dont think its the Bud Trent , though not impossible , I want to find out why before I turn down a cold one or start telling others not to .
I provide the supplies in the kit to use either , and don't really care which they choose but i believe both to be viable options.
the ring doesnt effect the truck department much. its either a house or built motor. im goin house as its one of the best ideas right now lol. If you get your ass down to phoenix this weekend (assuming everything shows up) you can help hopper and i put it together, even if your just the beer biotch
I have no problem with ensuring the beer is well guarded. :spit:
Hell ill even bring some beer an guard just pay to get me outta the cold ass weather here ha ha:rofl:I have no problem with ensuring the beer is well guarded. :spit:
