Thanks brother. That'll be a sweet setup if ya do the striping...got a contact on that if ya need help with the striping. I'm in no hurry for the list bud whenever you get around. If I ever hit the lotto well be talking about our other ideas.
Lets do it!
You will like the twins from his tow truck.I have driven it and it is sweet.
Now his race truck didnt drive very well.
Darryl
Haha i could only dream of driving the race truck..........actually, now that i think about it i probably dont want to do that. it will only make me want to build one as well and this damn sport is expensive!!!
Don't let Daryl fool you , he drove the race truck once ............................. but i was hooked to it with my side by side towing it out of the shop
So last night i was puttin steves stock bumper back on his truck and built new bumper brackets for it (since we cut them off for the prerunner bumper i built him) and we went out for a ride in his truck with a s472. all i can say is HOLY CRAP!!! that thing gets with it! now im really excited for these twins! i know i wont be as fast but hell, its still quicker than i am now plus i wont be smokin everyone and their brother out on the road.
Now, i got a question. Those that have put the trubo drain back into the vavle cover (which is the way ill be doing it), how did you keep the metal shavings from droppin in the head? vaseline/grease on the drill bit? vacuum up next to the hole?
I took the valve cover off but the engine was out of the truck and torn town a bit that day. Look at the pics in my albums for placement. I would consider pulling off at least the upper and then you can capture everything. That rib may chunk off but at least it would settle at the bottom.
The twins ARE friggen AWASOME and thats on a small tune. My buds ask and I say remember going from the SBC to DMAX? Same thing all over again :thumb:
I may reconsider putting the drain in the valve cover. A friend of mine did this and it pushed oil out of the seals on his S475 on Trent's kit when he ran it hard.
Track time soon! Lets get you in the 12s!:thumb:

hmmm, that seems odd, there is a good slope there. Was the line kinked?
Or a little N2O
:joker:
X2 I find it hard to blame it as the cause , its a far better flowing way to drain the oil and its hard to say if the drain is at fault . I have ran both ways on my own truck and have customers both ways , haven't heard of a complaint yet , but I didn't hear about Reece's either so............................
