it's more rigid. It has cons as well as open c channel. It is technically stronger as it's rated for a different weight. But strength and durability are not always the same.

If the boxed frame gets whacked good, its irreparable. It also won't yield, it loads until it fails. Failures are usually crushed sections, which are irreparable. It does handle the road differently which some prefer. Boxed frames are the worst to deal with for us in rust country, good luck keeping the inside of the rails from corroding

I see, that's kind of what I figured, yeah I am curious how the frames hold up in the salt belt.

My explorer has a fully boxed frame, the rockers are gone but the frame looks brand new, I stuck my finger in all the frame holes and there no rust from what I can tell.

Man. That's beautiful

Did you have th grille painted black at some point?

Not the entire thing, I left the outside edge of the billet brushed length wise across it. Thank you, I loved that truck. Just needed something more reliable once my buddy came around...:)

I basically recreated it with the 16, basically same color and scheme. It really pops with the Denali front end and black wheels.

Man there's not much Lml info here.. everything google pops up duramax forum.

Are cognito braces the only option for the centerlink on an Lml?

Have any pics of that

I totally understand the buddy thing. I have a 3rd on the way now. All 3 boys also. Lol

I believe so.

And over there on the DF there is a bunch of LML guys. Seems like there are more lml stuff then anything else anymore.

Dmax store offers some nice pieces for the LML steering setup.

Like Iowa LLY said, check out dmax store. DHD also has an LML brace that's different than the cognito set up.
