Gear is taper shaft with a grit on it. The lb7-Lly was right hand thread the Lbz went to left hand thread. But if started cold and oil pressure is high the driven they can slip on the shaft. Best if replacing to have gear and shaft keyed 3mm.
The lbz is most deffientaly a right hand thread too
I just had the pump in my hand. Original Oem from my 2006 puller, right hand
Maybe early 06' still used the right hand pumps.
Well mines an lbz so I wouldn't think so, but that's possible.
