Only reason I ask is because I went 50/50 on a broke LbZ from Cali. Long story short spun the shaft on the gear. 100% stock 114k miles. Put one of my lb7 pumps back in and a new turbo from Russ and seems to be ok.

Gear is taper shaft with a grit on it. The lb7-Lly was right hand thread the Lbz went to left hand thread. But if started cold and oil pressure is high the driven they can slip on the shaft. Best if replacing to have gear and shaft keyed 3mm.
