Ever been a group buy on rods?

if retail is 2700$ I would assume 2500$ you aren't gonna save a crazy amount. Connecting Rod companys are still trying recoup their initial investment costs. If 1000 sets sold a year price would come down but maybe one company sells 100 sets of Duramax rods a year?
get together a rough idea for 10, and let us know tony (or whomever else).

Nick I can not go that low. I can call and talk with dan and see what type of deal we can do and get a group buy and see how many kits would need to sell and what the price would be if you guys want me to.Also Make a list of other thing that you would like to have but I would think it would have to be groups of atleast 10 or so at a time.
I agree^^ I would think 2400-2500 is going to be about rock bottom prices right now.. I would have to guess the vendors buying direct from the rod company's are paying close to that ^^ themselves, so there is not alot of wiggle room unfortunetly..

I'd be interested in a group buy on a dual cp3 kit WITHOUT a pump as well. :thumb: Actually, more so than the rods.

I said a similar thing 15 yrs ago about my '57 Chevy. Gone 6 yrs now.
Why
carillo, R&R, howards, crower, etc, are all excellent rod's, I dont remember reading about any of those failing....
For what it's worth I know 20% will never happen that's big cut. Be nice just to hard.
With most Rods that'd hitting in the low 2,150 area.Crower and Carrillo rods retail for 2,699.00. Like Tony said he would be up to helping with this I would also on rods but since he said rods I picked the cp3 kits since Nick put my name out there. Tony can say if I'm wrong but Guy would have took a group buy on rods and let us know a price atleast that's who i gave to ask first on the rods.
Would you guys like us vendors to try a start running a group buy evert so many months or weeks or along with each other at the same time. If you guys would like i can start a new thread with a poll were you can let us vendors know what as a group you would like. I will clean the cp3 stuff out of this one then and make a thread for it only under my form then a group buy for rods in Tonys form for Rods if he wants to cover that or if hecwants to split it I will do some if it turns out to be big up to you Tony if you want pm me or call me.
While were at it guys I know someone will ask next about a group buy on pistons. So it would be best to know coated or not and what's your flavor. There is enoungh of us vendors to go around to help everyone no cut throat on pricing price us set that's what everyone gets it for I try to get shipping in the price then you know what it is but with the weight of these items when you Make your post add your zip code that is the only things that will change ea persons price.
