This should be pretty cool. We just did a regular cab short bed quadrasteer 4x4 lbz half ton. That's a mouth full. It was a pretty simple swap. On your trans cross member you should be able to just cut the half ton one and move the center of it back the width of the cross member.

Im going to use the HD one. Frames are same width. :)

This is just a hobby, and I work on the truck when I get the chance. Speed is not a priority.

My cab on my 01 is from a 2006 1500. Everything bolted right up except for the brake booster. One hole was off. Even have a extra hole to run gauge wires threw from where the throttle went threw fire wall.

Yep to all that, too. Hydroboost has that one offset bolt.

I helped Merchant with the cab on Ratlover's truck way back when, and also helped put all the interior into his orange shop truck when he swapped cabs....so Ive got some experience with this. Doesnt make it any easier to do, though.

Sorry if thats disappointing (it is to me), but thats how it is.

Thanks. Also, did you run into an issue with the Duramax passenger side mount being forward of the driver's side by about 3"? I looked at your pics above but can't tell. My 1/2 ton frame pads are even with each other, but the 3/4 ton has the passenger side sitting about 3" ahead of the driver's side. I'm hoping that I can just make up the 3" difference with the adapter plates.
