Im talking about taking the stock wheels off of a 2500 mount the rear tire as normal put a whatever size needed spacer on, then put the other stock wheel on would this work without having to have dually wheels

I'm sure it COULD be done, but the thickness of the spacer would be huge (ie. custom made and $$$) and even if you paid the money to have it done, I don't think the factory studs would even stand a chance due to the leverage.

I think Tony's kit allows you to do this.

He has a thread on DP I believe. I was considering doing this but don't know if I have quite enough power yet. Some guys might now like me in the 2.6" class either

Does Tony have this kit on a website I dont know what his website is I know his truck is called dirty hooker and i googled that and all I can find is photos and his garage on diesel place

Yes, Tony's kit will

Others have made their own that work too.

Tony's axles will hold just about everything you could throw at it (probably could put triples on them).

The issue is with the factory (and even replacement) studs as there is only so much thread diameter and length. The larger the spacer and offset of the rim causes extreme leverage.

Wes Kusilek (spelling?) made a fairly big spacer but I think he put alot of time and machining into them as well as used quality materials and longer than average wheel studs.

I'm not saying it won't work as you described, but the studs would be my concern (especially if it's driven on the street).

he's asking for the price of the adaptor kit to run duals, not the axle kit. Or were you making a funny saying he'll need to also spend the $2500 if he does the duals?

Why couldnt I just stack spacers the way I measured i need 10 1/4 inbetween the wheels they are aircraft billit aluminum I dont see how you could twist and break 40 wheel bolts and I could get 6- 3 inch wheel spacers for $360 and I have some 2 inch spacers all ready so that would put me 11 inches between the wheels why wouldnt that hold up it like I said im brain storming

The concern is the force that 11" of spacers puts on the main set of wheel studs. Chances are you'd be alright (never heard of a stud breaking) but it for sure adds a considerable amount of pressure on em.

I thought about that also but when you put the spacer on that clamps the wheel to the axle too so the pressure wouldnt be all on the wheel studs its like I said Im just brain storming it might not work at all but I think it will we are gonna try it in May with that 2wd truck I was telling yall about
