How many run dual lift pumps? One on each cp3. And if so do you run a hose between the two for equaling the supply between both pumps so they sustain the same pressures in case one would supply more than the other.

Thanks Dave. Did they keep plenty supply pressure?

To be honest they worked great but I'd be more inclined to go with just one big pump as you just have one to worry about. I'm pretty new to this sport so I don't have much to compare it to though. I already had one pump so it was cheaper to just buy another small one then 1 big one.

This was my thinking as well

1 220gph BG and then a potent Aeromotive Marine. I have 2mic Cat filters before and after the 1st pump and a 5 mic filter after the second pump to catch pump wear particles. The first one is limited to about 10 psi. The second is the fire hose. I run digital gauges that are accurate to + or - .1 psi and read to 150 psi. I know there getting fuel. It all runs through the FICM too. I just rigged it so I could do it with out popping it. A simple 7 psi 100 gph pre-pump works too in this respect (in place of the BG down on the frame). There just needs to be a bypass around it if the big pump wants to dig and feed more. Hose clamps needs to be tight at the cp3s though. Had a friend try my set up with the standard spring clamp on it. It hosed down his motor good.

:eek:I asked someone why we can put like a cavalier 60 psi pump in the tank as a lift pump and i was told 60 psi would be to much presure, guess they were wrong

This is too much (but not enough GPH on the flip side). You only want lower pressure at idle and very low throttle. Mine starts kickin above 30 psi boost. Below that is at 10 or less psi of fuel pressure. I'm not recommending what I do either. Every one must find there own path to the light.

How many hp would you be making? My pump as a single puts out around 13psi and when I turn them both on 15psi. I really need to put a bigger return line on as mine is still stock. I don't think I'm running out of fuel though but I might with the 200 over injectors I just bought from Tony.

We did a comp pump for a guy that was running 2 FASS 180's. He was dropping pressure with the FASS and went to one Comp pump and now holds pressure fine.

The Cummins Killer truck last year was running 2 Comp units at 60-70psi. This year he's running triple CP3's and will be running 3 165's.

Buck Spruill is running 2 Comp units to his 2 CP3's but he may go to triple's.

We've had plenty of people run 1, DF200 with good results. However with the older DF200s you had to sacrifice pressure for volume. We just redesigned them so you now get the best of both worlds.
