So at high enough hp you will blow through any converter? Even new?
From the sound of it, yes. It sounds like a lock up box will help ALOT, tuning also play a part, and the converter quality will play a role as well, maybe mike will confirm or deny this statement.
I have had this issue since day one of my built trans, it still shifts awesome and works pretty well, but "blows through" the converter randomly when in the race tune primarily at w.o.t, or when accelerating quickly in first and second say about 2200 rpm and it will loose it around 2800-3200 rpm with my foot deep into the go pedal, but I think this may have something to do with the tune after reading some of the posts in this thread...
