I believe that TCC lock is not possible in first gear.

Power can be added to the TCC solenoid in first gear but because of the way Allison designed the flow of oil pressure, no pressure is available for the TCC solenoid to control until second gear.

Long sentence

on the 6-speed's, you can get lockup in 1st gear.

You dont "add power" to the solenoid. You "add ground".

I got mine installed yesterday morning in about 20 minutes. Would have been quicker is I was familiar with the TCM connections. I've never messed with the pins before. Once we got it figured out it was quick and simple. Works flawlessly. My only complaint is that the universal mount is bigger than I expected it to be. I wanted to install it in the top cubby hole of my center console but it is way too big to fit without cutting.

Now that my truck is up and running. I gotta say Tony's alli locker works great. This is on a dedicated puller. So far it has worked EVERY TIME! The big switch is easy to find. It locks with no delay and unlocks with no delay. It may be a "harsh" lockup but I want an harsh lockup. Plus dirt is forgiving.

I wouldn't put this in a dd. as that isn't what it is intended for.

I built my switch for my puller with two relays and a extra tcc solenoid. When I hit the switch it would ground out the tcc solenoid in the trans and switch what the TCM was seeing to the extra tcc solenoid. This way it would lock the converter instantly but never throw solenoid ground code. The TCM was controling the extra tcc solenoid outside the trans. This worked flawlessly for me.
