It technically is dangerous for driving. You could feel it lock up in neutral if you flipped it. If you were forget to unlock it it's tough to stop and hard to hold the brakes and you'll start black smoking the exhaust lol, but no problems when I ran it. It's not good on transmission parks to lock it up so fast it puts a big "shock" on things. You could bark the turbo doing it. I wouldn't do it again on a truck I consider to be nice. But if its strictly for fun or something why not. I haven't had mine hooked up for along time though. Went with an fleece allylocker

Toggle switch to ground. Your tcc solenoid will burn up pretty quick tho. Bens box sends a PWM signal to the tcc solenoid just like the tcm does...no chance of it burning up.

Hmm...... What about the dhd box? Am I going to burn up the solenoid by using it too much?

So how are you leaving the line? With it locked, or flip it right after launch?

If you lock it while you're still standing still, you'll either stall the engine or the truck will suddenly jolt forward as if you just side-stepped the clutch in a manual-trans vehicle.

That's what I was thinking, so how does yours lock? As soon as soon as it shows 100% TPS?

Bens box, when in auto mode, has to see 95% throttle or greater, the brake off, and 2nd gear or higher. Once all those are achieved it auto locks and your gone! That's what's so nice about it.

Bens box is a blast to drive with, I leave mine in auto all the time, you really feel the power getting to the pavement! My truck feels like it has an extra 50 hp locked vs unlocked. Its amazing what you lose when unlocked.

yes because its the same principal... no pwm, straight dc voltage to the solenoid.

Had I know this before purchasing the dhd box I probably would have passed and went with Bens box. There should really be a disclaimer on the website stating that extended use could burn up the solenoid. I'm not too happy hearing this.

Yea... idk. It will last a while, and the truth is if the solenoid does go out they arent that much to replace.

Is the life of the tcc solenoid measured in minutes? Hours? I guess not knowing any better I thought that I could just flip the switch and lock the tc whenever I wanted at any speed and for however long I wanted like the chummins guy do.
