Anyone with this turbo post up your opinion and info on the charger? Looking for a fun single charger on a DD truck. I have a stock 2005 duramax plan to add 45% nozzles or 60% nozzles. Truck will get a Y bridge, intercooler pipe, downpipe, and drivers side manifold. If I get that charger, Is this a good choice? My other idea is Trents Premium s371 kit...

My goal is 600-650hp and I want it to light fast... I don't mind smoke but I don't want to smoke like a train all the time.

Truck will tow no more than 8k lbs, it is my DD, I run it at the track some and want to get into some sled pulling.

Thanks, Dylan

I have a similar combination on my truck with a little more on the airflow end . My sig is up to date . I pull my 36' camper with ease . It weighs 8060 lbs dry . I also sled pull with it and do pretty good .

Yes you are taking a risk in the hp range you are wanting to be in but I believe tuning is 90% of the problem . I think you just need a good tuner to set you up .

I know 600 is a 50/50 shot on bending rods.. But I think tuning has a lot to do with it also.. AdaMax can you post a vid of your truck? Like spool up time, and smoke output? [email protected] is my email if you wanna send one to me. If I'm correct 100hp nozzles are about 40-45% over correct?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvFW9EXtriY My truck is at the 7:20 mark .

This was the first hook for this year . I won by 7.5 ft .
This hook was obviously a kill tune but Mark set me up with a hot street tune that dynoed at around 630hp that doesn't really smoke much on the street . Plus with his tuning and my air mods its hard to get my truck over 1200* towing my camper .
Yes the 100hp nozzles are supposed to be the same as 45% overs .

I would recommend the DP 68mm. Ran one all last year before upgrading. Mine made 625 with 45 sticks and modded pump. See sIg for all my mods. I'm making 650 now and rods are still fine. Tuning plays a huge role and come people who drives on the big tune everyday, if so its your own stupidity. My driver tune make 475ish and tows great:thumb:

Do the 71 and dont look back, lower drive presure and when and if you want to max it out you should be able to get 750 to 800 hp depending on your recipe.

That's the thing I drive on my street tune now, I like some smoke but don't want to black out the road. I'm going to have my stock cp3 be my limiting factor for now.

I ran the 68 as a single and really enjoyed it, but if you are going to upgrade definitely go with the 72 vvt. It's not much more money and preformes great.

The 371 is an absolute beast of the smaller fram chargers it hits almost as hard as a batmo 472 but lights faster.

I am really leaning towards this Danville chargers because its just a drop in... Here's the thing.. How well would it perform with stock intake parts.. I have a lbz mouthpiece and a afe intake. I'd put a 3" downpipe on and I would delete the egr and keep stock piping for now. I would eventually when I had the money add a 3" pro flow bridge and 3" intercooler pipes, and add up pipes later down the road.
