Good luck on surgery maxxit out! Make sure to post some pics up here so we can see!!!! That looks like a nice break!

I'm actually off of the morphine drip and just on orally taken pain killers. I hate opiates, so I try to minimize my exposure to them. I broke my back in 2007 and after being on pain killers for 3 months, it was hell getting off them. Withdrawal from these drugs aren't worth the pain they kill imo. A little pain is good for you so you remember not to do anything stupid for a while. Ha ha ha!

I still have to get surgery on Wednesday.

I had a similar break to that, tib/fib just above the growth plate when I was 11... Doctor said it looked like someone took a bone saw to them, the breaks were so clean. Stupid KX80:D

My dumb azz is going on 9 broken bones, 3rd degree shoulder sep, punctured lung & I have donated more hide than I care to admit from racing moto... Sure is fun though:spit:

I compound fractured my tib and fib playing football when I was 18. I got a rod put in, the doc had me up on it right away and was walking without crutches in 2 weeks. Oh to be young again but it did took me a whole year for my nerves to fully heal. Then it was on college ball where I herniated a disk in my back and after having surgery I decided to give it up. 10 yrs later my leg/knee hurts often and my back kills me everyday. Looking back now its not worth the glory for a life of pain. Worst part of my leg ordeal was when my crutch slipped and I landed on my bad leg, worst pain Ive ever felt. I feel your pain and hope you have a full recovery.

Much like you, this isn't my first rodeo. I have six fused vertabrae from a previous back injury, I also have a torn ac/sc in my left shoulder, torn UCL in my left elbow, and a torn MCL in my right knee. I've broken my nose twice, broke my foot when I was 10 or so, cracked my sacrum, and fractured my radial head in my left arm about 3 months ago.

To sum it up, I'm 28 y.o. and feel like I'm 70. I'll be selling my bike after this one though, I have too much responsibility to be screwing around with things that can put me in the hospital or a coffin at any given moment.

I hate to think how much pain I will have when I'm 60 when my body already feels that old and I'm only 28. I farm for a living so my days can consist of alot of manual labor and/or bouncing in a tractor all day. So taking it easy on myself isn't an option, but you have quite a track record!

On a side note I forgot to mention that I herniated another disk just before the first of the year. I said F surgery because I feel it didn't help much before plus I couldn't be laid up for 2 months. The first 2 weeks was almost unbearable, the next month was terrible. Everyday it feels better and i am to a point now that I don't have to take perscription pain killers to make it through the day. That oxi is some good stuff

Just wondering how all the other cripples are doing. I get my staples out this week, and last night, I was able to cruise around the block in my LLY, so it made things a little better. lol

I'm praying I'll be able to start doing some chores here in a week or so.... I have a lot of stuff piling up!

I get my staples out and a new cast on the 10. I can't wait to get back to work, even if it's at a desk, cuz sitting for 2 weeks doing very little gets kind of boring.

That's awesome.

I'm worried about my work, because I farm and the crops are growing fast. We are going to start cutting hay on the 5th, and I need to be able to sit in a baler all night by the 10th or so.

Good luck!

Kat, hope your son gets healed up well. I hate that feeling of having a hurt little one!

We haven't figured out a way to remotely access control our hay equipment yet. Lol

Thank You. He is doing much better now. Friday morning was awful. Dr. gave me permission to give him an Aleve. Worked better then the 2 pain pills I ended up for him.

You guys make my body hurt. Somehow I have only broken my foot in my life, but I gave up sports at 17 and as lucky as they come for some of the spills I've taken.

You only have to pay 100 bucks  how the fuq you manage that:thumb:

I meet my deductibles pretty fast having three little kids.

You up and back to normal?

I wish. 4-6 months on a broken femur..... I'll be on crutches for another month or two yet. After a year or so, they will go in and remove my hardware, since it doesn't fit my leg correctly. That will be another 4-6 months of healing too. :(
