bump for me to find earlier.

Did anyone need to run a spacer between th e T3 and turbo? The turbo housing is hitting the end of my pedestal studs before it seals

Yes and I still have one for sale comes with a spacer for the oil line
I believe its 2" or 2.5" I didnt need it,But i do like it for the intake options

... I thought the housing was 13??? I was pretty sure mine is 66/71/13 stainless.

I had a problem with the studs hitting... I don't recall cutting them to get them to fit though.

Overall it went in fine after I got done being retarded. I did it without the spacer and everything is fine. For the intake I used the supplied intake horn and silicone boot, hooked that up to the stock LLY intake pipe with the bellows that hooked up to an AFE stage 2 intake box and filter. For intake to the motor I used an LB7 Y-bridge and LB7 passenger side intercooler pipe and blue hose. All I had to do was add about a 3-4" long straight piece of pvc to connect hoses to the y bridge and intercooler pipe. Worked great and looks good.

I cut them so I could easily pull the charger without pulling the pedistal. The rear studs are so close to the housing that you can't take the nut off, without lifting on the charger, which is a pain in the Ass. They will fit as they are, but I like making things easy to work on.;)

But what do I know:eek:. Nobody ever listens to me.

Wolf, thats a good idea. Wish I had thought of that.

Hmm.. maybe the stainless is a 13cm housing and the standard is 14cm...

stainless only comes in 13cm or 16 cm , not shure on all the options for cast but do know you can get 14cm and 16cm .

Where did you get the 1" T3 spacer? And where can I get T3 gaskets? Dodge dealership right?

Call nathan @ MPI he can get you what you need , he also has a nice oil drain tube that i seen your were looking for , his drain tube lets you take the turbo off without pulling the whole tube its a 2 peice setup .

Bumpin up this old thread, im looking seriously into the HTT 66/71, not sure on SS option yet, but i read the LBZ isnt just a bolt on and go, but doesnt explain what is also need to "go" Obviously I know about the tuning part of it, but not 100% sure on why its not a bolt on and go play..

Same as adding a gt4094 or gt42 just have to turn off the VVT sensor.

The BD kit will come with a 4" elbow and silicone boot that is used as a mouthpiece. Then just rig whatever 4" intake pipe you want onto that. It works excellent.

I used the supplied elbow and boot, the stock LLY intake tube with the bellows (slightly modified) and I've got an AFE stage 2 intake box/filter. All works well. I don't see why it wouldn't work exactly the same on an LBZ. Only thing that may differ is the space you have around the turbo inlet because of the different intake manifold on the LBZ. I guess that could change everything though.

My truck runs great with the 66/71 SS unit. Nice and smooth. No problems yet. Makes good power. On a 2800us pulse width my EGT's don't get much over 1200-1300 on full throttle runs (0-160km/h). It towed a 5000lb boat in the summer great. I'll give it another go here when sledding season starts with a sled deck and trailer.
