As far as I know your AEM intake does not replace the turbo inlet elbow which is the biggest restriction on the LLY's intake tract, buying a modded LBZ inlet elbow (or modding one yourself) and making it work with your AEM intake would help you out.

KB, sorry if I came off as calling you out or putting down your product - even if it were factory LBZ pieces, you are the one that got the ball rolling to figure out the problem and find an affordable solution so thank you for that.

Rodger that, makes since now. The aem does not replace the elbow that connects directly to the turbo.

thanks

no intake company does. This single observation is why I crusade in criticsm of inake manufacturers. They clearly never even test oem equipment. All this claimed R&D, goes straight into the marketing line entry of the balance sheet.:dr:

Can you say "placebo"?

I unconditionally claim to have the best TOTAL intake on the LLY market.

Combine the True CAI that I build, with this Induction Overhaul Kit, and there is not another (hyped) intake in the world today that can match the dyno performance of this.

If you find a commercially available intake that can beat mine, it will be FREE. I also guarantee at least double the performance benefit. How's that?

In addition, you don't have to give up filtration quality, fix MAF codes, or clean an element....EVER.

Just wondering if you tested the Banks Ram Air intake system?

not the newest stuff.

Consider that at 32 psi, there is 8 psi lost to the compressor mouthpiece. If you can manage 160 mph with a perfect ram air setup, you can get about 1 psi of that back. But at 60 mph, that is reduced to .2-.3 psi. Not enough to make a dent.

In a turbodiesel work vehicle, "ram air" is a gimmick.

After this statement Michael has made he shouldn't have to say another word about this. It just sucks when people tear something apart. You either want to buy it or not...move on people.

Ok explain a little further. My assumption from your post.

A statement was made and I as well as others weigh options and use pieces and parts from all manufactures to get the best we feel we can get. Your statement clearly shows your opinion and wishes. I for one have been following the thread and will continue.

I ask about the banks air setup and would also like to ask about the ram air along with the LBZ turbo inlet combined to see if this is a possible setup for comparison.

You as a mod should choose your words carefully. I take your statement as don't question be scared to post a reply.

Questioning ideas and statements is part of R&D end users draw conclussions from. Read previous posts and this thread is based on opinions as well as facts.

I stand by my statement of "It just sucks when people tear something apart"

No arguement intended. I just read and interpreted more into it or maybe I didn't. Thanks for the reply.

If I can't tear something apart for a better understanding of something, be it mechanical or technical, It's just not worth messing with. Thanks

I have the updated tables that GM used when they thought the were fixing the overheating LLY by putting this setup on. Mine does not code anymore...or hasn't yet

I think I need it afterall no codes but!!!!!!! now that my EFI is back up I can see that something is wrong. My MAF lbs/min is only getting to 37-38 lbs/min now. Care to share? [email protected]

Thanks in advance

Gm Parts Direct were on backorder, but I believe they have some in now, I was able to get mine from my local dealer +/- a month ago, they had to order it, but only took 2 days to get in for me. When I went to my dealer to order mine, his computer did say it was on backorder, but he made a phone call and got it for me :D

I had originally ordered mine from GM Parts Direct and later found it to be on backorder after waiting a week.........So I cancelled that order and went to my dealer, about a week ago GM Parts Direct emailed me asking for payment because they had mine in, I ignored it for a day or two and finally got a confirmation email that I indeed had cancelled that order (I hate dealing with customer service with email) they dont have a live person on a phone you can talk to.........anyway, thats why I say GM Parts Direct might have at least one in stock :)
