Good deal!!! I would think that it would ride 10x better, I'd be interested in doing something like this if I could with my lift..

On a DD lifted setup I would almost try to use a dual hoop and do 2 per side. Plus it would look badass.

Just not enough of these out there for me to be real convinced about the holding up if you ever do some offroading or lots of rough roads.

its not the coilovers that make the difference, its the shocks ;). you can make a torsion bar truck ride just like a coilover truck in every sense by adjusting shock valving. the main reason people switch, weight reduction and "cool" factor.

I just wanted to do because no one else is actually doing it.....everyone is talking about it;)

I have Bilstein 5100s on my Cognito lift and honestly think my generic fabtech shocks rode better..

Yeah some love em and some hate em.....everyones definition of a good ride can vary greatly. I love adjustables, wether it be ranchos or QA1s. the ability to make a shock ride how you want is a huge plus to me.

Yea I should of went with the Ranchos so I could of left the rear softer since it seems to be pretty stiff and I feel all of that since its so close to the driver and no weight back there..

I'll take that as a compliment lol

i wouldnt, id have to bust out a special olymipcs metal for you once your get off the plane then :D

you can get those in different valving, when i changed shocks 4 years ago to bilsteins on the truck, i ditched the LCA shock to just run 2 UCA shocks (dont do this btw) and nick and i went over different vavled ones i could use. we used one step up stiffer (bilstein doesnt give out much valving info :rolleyes) to make up for the missing shock, my off roading habbits and how much on road driving i did. thing road perfect.

the run of the mill shocks with lifts are very generic on the valving to try to appease most people. if your running three shocks up front, try ditching the LCA one or both UCA ones. problem is, its gunna blow through the travel much faster off road if you do that

I've been researching this a long time.. Just not totally sold for a DD truck yet haha.. Cant decide if I want to do a 10" spring setup or a 12" though. I dont want to go quite as low as the ones I have seen. I just want rid of my torsion bars... The whole fact that I am riding on just those two bolts though... Yeah Idk yet..

Maybe if I replace the LCA's.. with the ones from the DJM kit. At least thats been my current line of thought. I mean I suppose I could go buy some grade 8 bolts to put in the bottom ones (in case they arent already) and just roll with it. But if a shock mount goes then your on the Fckn ground! And prly dead... Soooo yeah idk

The factory bolts are 10.9 metric which is grade 8. on a street only setup, mounting it that way is no issue. if you plan to go off road, a different LCA mount setup would be recommended via either a tubular/plated LCA or a different bracket for the stock LCA.
