900 is not too heavy. IMOP, you guys should be looking for a heavier spring if you DD the truck

Totally agree with James. I'm running the 900's of course, and it takes a fair amount of pre-load to keep the front being way too low. (It's still plenty low!)

John, good point about extra meat, the t-bar set up would be stronger

Nobody knows how much compression they are getting with a 900lb spring? Or is it because stockish mounting points are being used, and the correct length shock for the application can't/won't fit?
I'll see if I can get a measurement tomorrow.

Is there a stiffer 10" spring than the 900?
Not that I know of. You can get a heavier spring in a 12" length, but that doesn't really help you any.

I just measured the compression on the driver's side coilover, and it is 2.75".

Got em all assembled finally.... mine on the lowest possible adjustment have about 1/16-1/8" of preload.

The fun starts tomorrow of getting them on.

a 900lb 12" would raise same vehicle 2" if bottom of spring is in the same location..

it would allow you to run a softer spring.. with same ride hieght and more travel....and allow for more nose travel... on launch

stiffer spring would reduce compression and tendecy for the nose to raise on launch.... if therre is room to put a 12" spring in there

A bit of work got done.....Looks like my shock is the perfect length fully open.

I may have to do some cutting as it sits now, need to fully pull all of the torsion stuff and make sure the springs are gonna clear the bump stop bracket on the frame......if it does its gonna be REAL tight.
