I wasnt just talking to you. Earlier in the thread people were saying not to launch with them up but its common knowledge(even though when you first joined you tried convincing someone the only reason to lower was for aerodynamics:roflmao:) And obviously I know I wont be able to street drive with them lowered. It will just be ath the pulling track and at the drag strip with my little tires on.

Just buy a 4" Cognito Steve:thumb:. Haha I want a 4" Cognito myself, but also want dual fuelers, so I feel your predicament. Ohhh the difficult choices in life...

I'd love to get one and run it way down but for the money I think I need to start saving for a built motor and duel fuelers as well. I'm curious about how 305s will fit. I might need to do some trimming. Plus if I ever decide to do a lift the UCA's will still help.

Agreed. All I know is I have ridden in many a cranked T-bar truck with stock shocks and the ride is brutal. I'd be interested to see how the ride is with the UCA's and shocks, I want 305 Dune Grapplers for my next tire.

I'm hoping the hype is true because my truck rides like crap with them cranked now lol. I'll make sure and let you know if I do them though. Maybe I'll do it as a christmas present to myself haha

ill tell you this much. i just rode in a buddys cranked front end with stock shocks and UCA. good god did it ride like crap. its been a looooooooong time since i rode in truck cranked like that and im glad i dont lol. i got back in my truck and it felt like a damn cadillac compared to that truck, even with these crappy white body fabcrap shocks.

i dont think you will ever get the ride a slightly lowered truck has just due in part cause of the steep angle you put on the LCA and your still down travel limited. i notice a big difference from just rasing and lowering my front end 1" and i can crank the front up another 2" before im back at where fabcrap wants you to run their kit at for 8" of lift.

idk about anybody else but i have had my tbars cranked for 3-4 years on my lbz with 285/75/16 and all i did was get the longer bilstins shocks (the silver ones) and my truck rides great and i havent done any front end work to speak of other than bolth wheel bearings and i got the truck with 80k cranked the bars as soon as i bought it and it has 177k now with no problems i havent done any ball joints or anything other than wheel bearings

now on the flip side i dont offroad or do boosted launches i dont even have sleeves my truck just does pavement i dont abuse it in any way hell i only use 4x4 when there snow on the ground and even then snow in az :roflmao: i know it not what the thread is about but im just putting in my 2 cents from what i have seen

Not particularly. But i would like the option. Truck is daily driven. I'm just curious how the road manners compare between the 2. I'm sure fox wins hands down in the rough.

And actually I do spend a good amount of time on the beach in the summer and that's all washboard. But the speed limit is 10mph haha

To be honest, why not buy a 4in and turn it down as low as it can go? Like say 3in. Front angles would be perfect, ride would be the best possible on our trucks. Ive rode with the ucas and im not impressed, they rode like crap. Id save the money and buy a lift, turn it down, u would be happier.

x2. Stock or lowered is best for ride, and if you did a 4-6" lift and just ran it all the way down so your cv's were slightly negative, you'd never have to adjust it for track days. For a dd i would recommend the kyrptonite kit. My straight centerlink is awesome for 4wd launches, but sucks because it scrubs so much. Just my .02. This is what i am planning for my lly.

Put helper bags on the back, and leave the rear alone and you have the ultimate level lift....imho

What the hell did you just write?? Then I would just have rear air bags. Not sure how that would help the front clear 33/12.50s.
And how can I put bags in and leave the rear alone. Thats a contradiction.

And yes, I do like the Idea of the 4 inch lift but I just bought tires. All I need to clear is a 33x12.50 I think even at its lowest the 4inch would look funny on them

And also most lifts no matter the the supposed lift height, all require some t-bar cranking to get to the lift height. Like a 6in would need to be set t-bars half cranked most the time to get that height. Ive put almost every lift on the market on trucks and those are just my experiences.
Thats why i say a 4inlift turned down would be unbelievably perfect for what u want.

I know youre right on this. I just need to save money for the motor and am trying to talk myself out of it lol. I'm also trying to save for a garage. UCAs just seemed like the most budget friendly option.
