center link braces

If anyone has a truck without the centerlink braces, you are crazy!! Major improvement up front. I just installed the Allseason brace, loving it so far! Drives so much better, I wish I would have done this much sooner like everyone told me!

First thoughts are that the Cognito would be a better choice for daily driving, sort of wish I would have went that route. Going to see how this last as I put anywhere from 50-150miles per day on my truck. Plus, the Allseason brace doesn't support the centerlink after you start turning to the left or right since it pulls the brace away from the front diff. It's mainly a solid support for straight line runs like drags or pulls. Cognitos are going to hold across the steering span but may not be as strong as the allseason brace.

either way, don't put off the braces! your pitman arm and idler arm will love you for doing it early!!

Good info. So would you recommend this for a guy that does a lot of daily driving and drags/pulls on the weekends? I hear about the Cognito stuff wearing out quite a bit.

yeah, i now have a extra cab long bed with a SD straight center link. Wow does it turn like shit. But it has always held up to a ton of abuse. to each his own it depends on how much you expect out of the front end.

No but close. if you want the best of both worlds, the kryptonite stuff from dmaxstore is your best bet. EXAXT use to sell their stuff down here but its been rumored thats no more (its what i run). straight centerlink with no turing radius loss or bumpsteer. not to metion it will hold up to high power levels well. I dont like to promote other vendors that are not supporting this site but dmaxstore has the best setup right now......

None that i can tell. Allseason and cognitive supports maintain full turning radius

The cognito braces will be effective across the whole turning radius. The All Season brace will not. I bent my cognito braces in extreme pulling conditions so i put the All Season one on and wouldn't ever go back to cognito ones. But i use my truck mainly for sled pulling right now. The All Season brace is cheaper, easier to install, and simpler design. Either way, you should brace the pitman/idler!

Before Tony's brace the truck was all over place when lauching and couldn't cut anything better than a mid 1.8. After the brace with no other changes the truck launches like a dream, with just four runs at the track two of them were 1.70's on 305 50 20 terra grapplers.With a few more tries it would of been in the 1.6's. A tight converter is whats holding back 60's now not truck setup.

Does anyone think it's a drawback using the differential for support? How long has the brace been out...has anyone noticed it chewing up the differential? What is the "slide" made of?

Mines been on since last fall with no issues. The ''slide'' appears to be delrin but I could be wrong. Either way it doesn't show much wear at all.
