Those are balance beads. Someone was correcting balance rates.

Is there a ball bearing in the air filter minder?

That would have to make it down the intake through the turbo all the piping and the cooler.
I am thinking it would have had to have been introduce at the Y-bridge or after. Almost had to have been dropped in... This is a good one...

That's what I was thinking and that's why I said if the y bridge tube was popped out... I don't see how anything past the intercooler could introduce that??

Bearing from the idler pully?

Idler/tension pulley bearing. Some reason intake was off and dropped into passanger side intercooler duct.

Shootin' in the dark haha

*edit* Dmax02 beat me too it

Bingo idler must have blown up balls everywhere. Rocket wrench who took the fan cage out to due the pulley, tensioner and balancer must have take the cooled side pipe off never put a rag or tape over it and when he pulled the fan plop plop. And 6 months later boost finally got it past the grid heater and bang.:thumb:

Naaa first I've ever seen the truck or met the guy. The hole thing actually kid of makes me mad that people get banged by one of these rocker wrench shops and them people think all mechanics are ripping them off and couldn't fix a sandwich. lol . The guy had me put a junk yard motor in it and now I have a weird coolant issue that I haven't got my finger on yet. But hey it's the fun game I play

He had me take pictures and send them to him. Says he's going to have a word with he's former wrench

So it's a failure from previous work? Steel ball bearing that's not foreign to the engine, stock truck, on top of the piston? Hmmmm
