Hmm yeah where could a ball bearing come from? did you have it worked on somewhere and this is what you got back?

This is a side job I picked up. The guy I'm working on this for has never had his truck work on by me until now. He did have glow plugs done a year ago. And had new belt, tensioner, idler pulleys and a harmonic balancer replaced 6 months ago. Engine had 75000 on it. 07 Sierra classic.

I can't think of anywhere that the ball bearing could get introduced to the heads? did someone sabotage it? the egr valve? does it have a ball bearings or steel balls of some sort inside it? that's the only thing mechanical on that side of the engine in the intake tract that could allow something in there isn't it?

Not saying you're wrong because I don't know, but if those are in the egr valve I am buying an egr delete right now.

Yeah man IDK but it was a thought and close enough to that area to drop them in. I can't think of anything else lol.
