Look how heavy the harmonic dampener is hanging of the front of one of these cranks ;)
Plus i think i read that part of the crank spans the furthest distance un supported. I think some shop came up with some sort of stabilizer to help the issue but not sure on that. I thought i read it on here but who knows lol


Curtis Halvorson has made one and it works damn good for support...... but harmonics still break the cranks even with a internally balanced motor (with a procharger though) :eek:

Just a thought. Is the LML crank better in any way? I have heard that it is lighter, but not sure if you can fit a LML crank in a LB7-LMM block with same main caps? With LML pricing the way it is...

I'm planning to do it Brian. LBZ block, LML crank....same .0030"-.0035" clearance that it had with Clevite HX bearings. no block fill, no girdle. ATI damper and ATS flywheel as of now.

Have you tried block fill before?
