well I got the master, its big, maybe 3" longer,it hits the radiator hose, think I can shorten it by the radiator and make it fit.will be reflaring my lines w/ the new fittings tomorrow, hope this is worth the effort.

Give us some photos please. I don't have much room around my 3" hot side pipe and my stock master.

I didn’t think it was any longer than my factory one. I’m going to check the length on the 04 I have sitting at the house.

It will be interesting to see if the 2002 37mm bore power brake booster , that is oem in your truck, will accept the 2011 38.1mm master cylinder . Let us know ! You may be needing to replace the power brake booster with a 2011 .

oh its gonna except it,come this far, tomorrow I'll put the new fittings on my brake lines.Tat will be tough, not a lot of room to work.

I had these 2 flaring kits,,there designed for tight spaces,if you look close, you can see the tool is installed on 1 of the lines.
also, gotta love gm,the brake lines are a touch bigger than 6mm,made for installing the flare tool a bit touchy,a little sanding w/ Emory cloth and it was good to go

one line down, harder line to make up next.needed to straighten the line a little to get the flaring tool on.
btw, this line is tough, standard flaring set up could be a biotch to use.

like I'd said, master was gonna hit the upper radiator hose, this pic shows how much I trimmed off the engine side, basically cut the hose one the clamp line thats towards the radiator.

Good job , glad to see you got it back together , nice pics and you got the hard part done if you ever want to do the 2011 power brake booster down the road . Let us know how it feels compared to the old one when the roads get better . Thanks for keeping us informed !
