seems like II is very easy to come by, what are we talking price wise to have one built vs. a new one? Dual cp3s seem like they would be the way to go but there are twice the parts to fail also..do people that run dials just run two stock pumps?

They're pretty reliable. You could also just run stock pumps.

Youre looking at this the wrong way, think of it as more of a redundancy thing. Twice as many parts yes, but half as likely that you will be sitting on the side of the road due to a pump failure. If one pump or regulator fails, the other will still be enough to get you home without a tow truck.

That being said, i dont know about the rules in the pulling orginaizations reguarding multiple fuel pumps...something to think about i suppose.

well I might just look into dials then..if I could pick up another cp3 somewhere and just get a dual kit then that might be the best..then maybe save up a little and throw an arson kit on them and keep my stock regulators incase they go out so I'll have something to get by with for a while..

I really appreciate all the great info!

I would go with the dual pumps as well. If one pump goes bad then you still have one to get you home with.

Electrically...but what happens if there is a mechanical failure? If the CP3 grenades in the valley you're f**ked anyways.

Not exactly[/QUOTE If one goes bad then the controller will switch full fuel delivery to the other functional pump. That was directly from ppe dual fueler discription on their website. And paint is right on if something mechanically happens to the vally pump but im no expert. I to would like to know what would really happen just not on my truck.

if there is an electrical failure but that is only 50% of it the other is the potential for a mechanical failure that will end your day

This is true, but with duals there is that slightly higher margin that youll be driving home insted of being towed home. LOL! :D what it boils down to is that either way i think your going to be ok for reliability as long as you go with a reputable companys system, who has good reviews, single or dual. IMO.

I'm running the same ppe twin cp3 kit for the past almost 3 1/2 years and 50k miles.
I also sell all the over sized II Pumps.

I would go with the duals , I have tuned several trucks running modded pumps as singles , they do good , but wont produce the same amount of fuel as a dual cp3 setup when comparing how much pluse width can be ran before dropping the rail down . I am running an II 120% pump in my duals and it has held up fine , and the truck holds perfect rail pressure usually even on the biggest tunes .
