I got it all read. Too bad a few derailed it.

What I've seen and what I read in that thread are pretty close match.

I did install a cooler w/fan after the factory filter with temp sensors before and after. I don't think I'm done yet. I think even with that cooler, the factory cooler will be coming out.

I did get a pollack fuel valve to direct which tank the return fuel goes to, but haven't put it in yet.

Today it was -2*F outside cruising down the Interstate I had the fans running on the cooler with 66*F return fuel temperature.

Lots of guys like fuel cool regardless until it hits like 40 deg. and it's time to shut off the fans like. Thermostats are still kicking in from a warm setpoint.

Can I check the fuel temp with my V2? My problem is cold fuel in the winter way up here in ND. Would be nice to know what my fuel temp is. Or im open to suggestions on fuel temp gauges also.

Saw air temps drop to a low of -27 F this morning.

No gelling issues yet. I did stop and put in some Howes antigel when temps got close to 0 last night

My fuel temp gauge only goes down to 0 so I don't know what temp it is.

Been keeping the factory tank under 1/2 to try to get the fuel a little warmer.

How do you keep from gelling? Special fuel filter heater?

Subscribed as well...

No extra heater.

With the exception of the aux fuel tank in the bed, and the extra fuel cooler behind the grille the fuel system is stock.

Fwiw, I pulled out of WI about 5AM outside air temp was -9. Bottomed out at -27 on the way thru Minn, and didn't see above 0 until 1 or 2PM. Wasn't running the grille cover either, because I was towing and ECT was staying right around 185-192
