Adam where did you tap into the fuel system for that cooler and fan? I want to put that fan/cooler in the bed. I have my airdog lines that run under the bed, I could tap into those before the fuel goes to the engine. I logged fuel temps when I put on dual cp3's and gained 20-30* across the board.

That sounds awesome Adam. Question for you though. I put a 0-90ohm level sender in my new tank instead of the factory sender. But it only reads full. Any idea what's wrong? I've tried switching the wires but it's the same result.

IIRC it should read 90ohms full and 0 ohms empty. i have taken senders out and cycled them while connected (aka function test).. if one wire hook up it needs to be grounded to the frame to work..

i disconnect the return line at the sending unit. took some old hard return fuel line cut it about 3" long stuck it in the quick connect return hose..
plumbed everything 3/8 fuel line and hose clamps.. slide some convoluted sheathing over the hose clamps

did the same thing for the supply side for lift pump. debating to hang either one of both my fuel filters right there ont he outside of the frame... or up in the bed

So basically it isn't grounded well enough? It's a two wire connection just like the factory tank. So just running another wire from the sender ground to the frame should soleve this correct?

yeah that is what i'd do.. then i would move the float to make sure the guage moves with the float...

btw you using stock guage or aftermaket? i have no idea how oem stock scales.. i'm guesing 90-0?

Ok well I tried running a wire from the ground on the sender directly to the frame and still nothing. Reads completely full. I just spliced into the existing tank wires. I know it only has about 8-10 gallons in it, but I don't wanna just drive around guessing. Frustrating.

ECM fuel level is most likely scaled wrong... i would take a DMM run the ohm swing on the OEM sender and see what it is

Will do. Gotta check the instructions again too just to make sure I installed it right. Pretty sure it has to be completely isolated from the tank since it's aluminum.
