Put some anti-sieze on the threads and tip of the torsion bolts. This will keep the threads from mauling up and easier to turn. Buy a second set of bolts just for safety sake, too.

You should drop your torsion bars down. Judging by the pic in your avatar, your front end comes up pretty high when you launch. That is what really kills the tie rods. I've launched harder than you with nothing extra in the front end and never once had a problem.

I thought I read in another thread that you have leveling keys in too. You might want to take them out and put the stockers in also. That will help you get all the angles flatter.

Also to adjust your T bar bolts the truck Needs to be lifted up with a floor jack to take pressure off the bolts, or you WILL strip them. I know!

you dont need a centerlink with stock tires and pyo's IMO, ive never had an issue with mine with just HD rods...

With His leveling kit A centerlink is a very good idea. Even if he lets it down to run at the track I'm sure he has fun when he is driving it on the street once in a while.

X2

I have a notch on the bolts and would count the turns....write down the turns

This is probably the best thing you could do is lower the front end.

Not sure why you would need the braces with a straight centerlink ?? purpose of the braces is to stop the rotation of the curved OE centerlink. Don't see much rotational force on a straight link. We'll see before long though; I think I've bent my OE link so will be looking for an SD link and installing w/o braces. I'll then see if it toes in more than now. Sled pulling with my wheels/tires seem super hard on my truck.
Also. first time I lowered my bars I took some M12 washers and counted how many took up the space between the bolt head and the adjuster block. Took the bolts completely out and installed the washers = returns the keys to the same spot every time now.

Was this at Beaver Springs, judging by your avatar pic? If so, what was the turnout? Me and a friend of mine are thinking of heading up before the season ends.

the pic in the avatar is beaver springs, usually every so often we rent the track out with a group of guys on a friday morning, usually we have 8-10 grand nationals, mustangs, camaros, and 1 duramax(mine) towing a 87 grand national or my 89 turbo trans am pace car. I know we have an other rental coming up but i am not sure what day it is.When we do all you guys on the east coast are welcome.I will post it up when i know the date.

straight centerlinks still have a tendency to rotate I know mine does when my tbars are cranked
