Some people are easily impressed. Look at who the pres is. The wheels are coming off for both of the imposters.
There are people who claim to be what they are not and talk down to people with big words and then make a post asking how to do something. Problem is they are not as smart as they think. These ar people haters ( usualy found in the closet and are hard to detect ) Most of the time it is because their wife is smarter than they are and is paying the bills while they are home doing work they feel is beneath them. They must show their verility by one uping the counterpart and that usually means tactics that are unscrupulous ( they work faster than honesty ). Why would someone steal a 25.00 book?

I have his stack seal kit installed. Before it, my cooling fan would engage on the freeway WITHOUT a load during the summer months. After install, quiet.

I also have his oil cooler. Does anyone else offer a Dmax specific one? Not that I'm aware. Does what I want. Price was fair.

You obviously believe there is a need for one too...:)

Not a KB cheerleader, but not jumping on the bash bandwagon either.

Not trying to derail the KB roast, I'm just curious what this was. Never heard of it...

It's a piece of rubber that he cuts out to seal the sides of the cooling stack so the airflow is directed through the radiator instead of around it. Oh yeah, he sells it for something like $300.

edit: Here's a pic and he sells it for $350...

Copy and steal is how your buddy works. Not me.

No one drug you into this. I have the utmost respect for you and your products.

IMO, there really isn't much difference between your early cooler kit and the boost tube kits he was marketing. They contained other manufactures off the shelf product with a few vehicle specific parts added. He may have claimed the tube as his, where as you said the cooler was sourced from an outside vendor.:)

With all due respect, if you're complaining about KB "Ripping people off" with that tube, how about rod manufacturers? You can't tell me it costs $2000 more to make a set of Duramax rods than it does to make Small Block Chevy or Ford Modular rods.

Do you have any idea much bigger of a billet you need to start with to make a Dmax Rod then you do to make a SBC rod. Price out 4340 certified materail. Duratothemax used to think this way to. Unfornately he learned the hard way.
Trust me they are not making near as much as you think. Also they can make less of SBC rods because they most likely sell more of them in week then the do Dmax rods all year.

KB drug him into this. Mike and Banks are not the only ones he did this to. Wonder who else he pulled the stop payment trick on? If we have heard of one or two, most likely it just the tip of the iceberg.

That's the difference right there. The rub is not only did he sell a Banks product as his own, but he has publicly criticized Banks and their products on more than one occasion.

Claiming the tubes as his own is the only about part of that deal that could be considered dishonest........

I really don't have a dog in this fight, I did inquire about his LLY/LBZ mouth piece kit and decided it was way too much money. There for a while he really did have a corner on the market for those mouth pieces. KB is no different than a lot of people who sell stuff to make a living. He biggest mistake is he got too open about it and took ownership of something that wasn't his over on the Chevy GMC forum where there are mostly neophites to the dmax modding world and someone who knows a bit called him on it. He probably would have been fine if he'd been up front with Banks in the first place. Banks would have to be blind not to know he was a vendor of dmax mods, and if he ordered 50 of these pipes and they had a problem with it you would have thought they would have said something before someone forced their hand to respond.

KB got caught, he'll survive, soon no one will remember or give a damn anyway. This wil go the way the II turbo copying thread, the ATS letter at SEMA and many flair up's before that, good reading for a bit then dies. All bull shitters, snake oil salesmen and huckters get caught sooner or later.
