I love it!!!!

I figured that KB was using Banks tubes when I say them in his "catalog". IMO he's a joke - we were discussing here how restrictive the LLY turbo inlet was, he was trying to dremel the inside of a stock one, then epoxy the outside, then dremel more, ect. Then he was trying to make a completely new one. Someone (I forget who) said "I just put one from and LBZ on my truck, it's much bigger". People started to do that until KB went and tried to buy up all the supply of them from GM and then added a boot and marked it up a couple hundred dollars. My oil cooler setup is getting the same results as what I've seen others say his system does, and with the electric fan I don't have to be moving to cool the oil. I'm sure he has a spreadsheet or 2 that will completely prove his innocense though:spit:.

Ding ding ding :thankyou:

Do you sell this Oil Cooler Dustin?

For me to make anything on it and not rip you off (from now on "pulling a KB" should be used in place of "ripping you off") I would have to become a dealer for all of the parts I used, which depending on their buy-in prices it probably isn't worth my time or effort for the little I would make.

Here is the link to my thread that discusses it, with links to everywhere I bought my parts from after shopping around for the best prices, and pictures and all.

I agree 100% that KB was ripping people off big time. But there's a sucker born every minute that will buy up anything. With the right sales pitch I could sell glasses to a blind man! It's not like he's the first person to ever ripoff another person. it's happened to me, and I bet a lot of the people here before. Like every month when I pay my cell phone, or cable bill!!

I said this in that thread, but it's just as necessary for the buyer to know what he/she is buying as it is for the seller to sell it at a reasonable price. Kind of the fool me once/fool me twice debacle.

If someone wanted to pay $1000 for a Quad tuner thats worth maybe $300... it'd be tough to turn it down. Not sure what I'd do to be honest, it wouldn't be morally correct to say yes. But is it my fault if I take the money, or his fault for being the idiot who didn't know any better?

"Pulling a KB" is harsh.

Claiming the tubes as his own is the only about part of that deal that could be considered dishonest, IMO. He provided a "kit" that people were interested in buying. A kit that included parts from a manufacturer that had no interest in selling it as a package until they realized how great the demand was. I also believe that if Banks had originally sold this type of kit that thier price would have more than likely been in line with KB's, not what they are selling them for now..

I have a couple of his products and feel they are worth every penny paid.

at that point it's the consumers fault for not doing their research. while you are charging more and technically ripping them off(based on what they normally go for), YOU are selling the product therefor YOU can price it as you see fit. that sort of pricing is a pretty far stretch and i know only an example, but it does happen on a daily basis.

kinda agree but didnt really wanna say it lol.

its up to the vendor to help the customer out.

That's what I thought............ If you want to have a good business that's gonna be around awhile.

I have ordered stuff from them and had great CS, but that post seems a little odd to me
