No. I changed Pat from primary driver of Wendy to primary of the Volt. Since Allison doesn't have her licence yet. I hate to see what that is going be

I would put here as the primary driver of the CTS-V


Question for the Cruze diesel owners. How is the torque compared to the TDI? I see the TDI's peak torque is at 1750RPM and the Cruze is at 2600. Just curious if it seemed to matter much or not. My wife's is tuned so it comes on even harder but I love all the torque under 2000RPM and feel like I'd miss it in the Cruze. No manual trans is still a turn off for me anyways but I like seeing whats out there. I should go test drive one some day but I hate most salesman.

I will only own a Volt (or similar) after someone can get one to run 11s in the quarter (so performance potential is there), gets +500 miles on a charge, and it can recharge in under an hour.

After 3 years in my volt- it was in for warranty repairs 21 times. Spent 5 of the last 6 weeks I owned it at the Milford factory for repairs. Got it back from the last "ok, we fixed it this time" promise and drove it straight to a dealership and traded it in on a 2015 gmc sierra. That was the end of June last year. I've put almost 40,000 on the Sierra since then. Been back to dealer once for a ecm reprogram recall. 1 service visit in 40K! GM, Chevy, and Mary Barra can take the volts and shove it up their arse:woott:

To add to the thread itself.....Tesla's cars are getting a lot better. All those things I "required", they can now do. Those charging stations are pretty damn cool, too. 12kwh? Charges the car in a couple minutes. Still too damn expensive, though.

I never really cared enough about the volt or had the interest to really look into them. But when vw bought my 09 jetta back I picked up a Chevy cruze diesel.

It's a small car but from when I have seen the volt gets on gas the crude diesel is the way to go. I am averaging around 42.5mpg per tank hand calculated. Driving up and down hill the while way to work every day.

I occasionally ask our ups guy if your still around. I'm working over on Coolidge & Lake Lansing in East Lansing if you ever want to grab a beer or 4. Shoot we put on community events and serve free drinks every once in a while. Had a big dinner and drinks, all free on Cinco de Mayo. I'll shoot you a pm next time we do one

We have 3 Volts now. Except for the heater bug in the 2013, all have been as reliable as a hammer. The 2013 is attending UCSB with my daughter, and the 2016 my son uses to get to high school. The 2017 is the shop car for deliveries that do not require a pickup. The original justification for buying a Duramax for us was as a work delivery truck.

We AutoX them, I go 101mph (speed limiter) up 6% grades, and generally try to shred the tires off them for urban warfare. They can be deceptively quick for an economy car since:

A) The 2016 and 2017 are brochured at 149hp, but they actually make 161hp from 0 mph all the way up to 101mph with virtually no lag. With a flat HP curve they act like about what a 250HP gas engine does in traffic.

B) Since there is no noise, drama, or lag, you can WOT pretty much anywhere, anytime, without attracting attention.

I just got back from a freeway round trip that was 59 miles with hills. The Volt is EPA rated at 49 miles of electric range highway. I came back with 4 miles of electricity left. They also apparently underrated the range too.
