Sorry mike and Ben my bad

Mike have you already done the work on matts trans?

Simon all I did was connect the turbine speed sensor back up and replace the blown TCM fuse and made the trans work again. I decided to let Matt drive the truck first and get an idea what might need to be changed in the future.
At this point I don't have the heart to suggest anymore costly work with what has happened. If the rear main seal is leaking I will pull the trans and Robert has offered to come down and install the seal. All we can do is wait for a diagnosis.
PS
Until today, I wasn't aware that the rear main seal could be done in the truck.

Why? With all the transmissions you have done you have never replaced a RMS in a duramax? Not knocking you, just curious :)

So Cal.
It appears to be from when the hole was drilled and tapped for the oil drain into the oil pan...:( Needless to say I am getting MORE upset now....

Those would be shavings from when the twins turbo drain was drilled - with the pan still on the truck. The pan wasnt removed, therefore all the shavings from that hole went straight into the oil supply.
